Montezuma Castle National Monument, located in Arizona, features well-preserved cliff dwellings. They were built and used by the Pre-Columbian Sinagua people around 1400 AD. When European Americans discovered them in the 1860s, they named them for the Aztec emperor of Mexico Montezuma II, due to mistaken beliefs that the emperor had been connected to their construction.
St Eanswith in Brenzett was built in the 12th century with additions in the 13th and 14th century.Brenzett comes from the Old English ‘berned’ meaning ‘burnt’ and ‘set’ as a ‘dwelling, camp, stable, fold’; therefore, a ‘burnt fold or stable’. The Domesday Book records Brenzett as Brandet and Brensete. The church is dedicated to Saint Eanswith, the grand-daughter of King Aethelberht, who welcomed St Augustine who subsequently converted him to Christianity. Eanswith served her noviciate in Normandy and became the founder and Abbess of the first nunnery in England, of Peter and Paul, built in Folkestone in 630AD. She is credited with performing a miracle during the building of the nunnery, when, by prayer alone, she caused a wooden beam, cut too short, to be extended to the correct length!
El Medano, Tenerife. December 2011.
Behind the town of El Medano, or possibly to be more precise outside of most southern towns on Tenerife, is the semi-desert that is the southern part of the island.
Out there amongst the caves live people, this is one of their dwellings.
"Nothing about me is hidden from you! I was secretly woven together deep in the earth below, but with your own eyes you saw my body being formed."

IJburg, Amsterdam, NL
In IJmeer, a lake on Amsterdam’s eastern side, the city’s new residential district IJburg is coming into being on seven artificial islands of dredged sand. When, a few decades from now, the district is complete, 45,000 city dwellers will be living here in 18,000 dwellings. In 2001, the first building was completed on Haveneiland West. The urban design scheme for these islands (2000) is based on a grid of rectangular blocks, rectilinear streets, green strips and waterways. On Kleine Rieteiland, ‘private plots’ are being built on by private individuals who are working with an architect of their choice, without a supervisory architect and without any aesthetic control by the municipal inspectorate. On Steigereiland, too, the new city district has taken shape. The urban design scheme for Steigereiland (2001) is based on the ‘collage city’ concept, which means that each of the eight neighbourhoods has been given its own individual character as far as possible. In some of the neighbourhoods on Steigereiland, space has been reserved for floating dwellings. In other neighbourhoods, as on Kleine Rieteiland, private plots have been issued and in strips 1 and 2 this has resulted in a high degree of architectural variation. The design of the public space will provide the necessary cohesion. In October 2005, the go-ahead was given for the construction of the first dwellings on Haveneiland Oost. This marks the final part of IJburg’s first phase, comprising Steigereiland, Haveneiland and the Rieteilanden.

I'm pretty sure these "indentations" are cave dwellings. It's hard to get a sense of the scale, but those are trees in what looks like that big "dent" in the rock.
Tapped to the metal security shutters of a personal dwelling. The bright coloured has faded in the sunlight. It seems to be a temporary solution which enabled a more permanent solution. The signs hand written text contains numbers and reads left to right.

The Manitou Cliff Dwellings is a rare historical treasure. Preserved under a protective red sandstone overhang, authentic Anasazi cliff dwellings, built more than 700 years ago.
Hola from Amigos Del Mar in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico . . .
Tube-dwelling anemones or cerianthids look very similar to sea anemones, but belong to an entirely different subclass of anthozoans. They are solitary, living buried in soft sediments. Tube anemones live and can withdraw into tubes, which are made of a fibrous material, which is made from secreted mucus and threads of nematocyst-like organelles, known as ptychocysts.
Cerianthids have a crown of tentacles that consists of two whorls of distinctly different sized tentacles. The outer whorl consists of large tentacles that extend outwards. These tentacles taper to points and are mostly used in food capture and defence. The smaller innner tentacles are held more erect than the larger lateral tentacles and are used for food manipulation and ingestion
We are having the best year of diving I’ve ever seen in some 30 years of diving in the Sea of Cortez. The water is warm and clear, the marine life amazing. See our website at www.amigosdelmar.com or for current marine life sightings and conditions see our Facebook page; “Amigos de Amigos Del Mar de Los Cabos”
