At ~ 18m, Kris and I found a pair of dwarf lionfish, crouching in the crevices of a bommy. These fish look drab on 1st sight, but have some really pretty patterns on their bodies.

She's grown rather quickly and gotten comfortable enough to walk from my hand to my shoulder and back. :) It's been rather hard to get a front portrait of her, the only successful shots are always her butt shots. :<

Dwarf Sperm whales spend most of their life diving in deep water feeding on squid. Rarely spotted on the surface and easily scared off by boats, they are difficult to photograph well. I had previously misidentified this one (I had confused my notes as we sighted two species in quick succession) but have now corrected it.

Drought:
Once a upon time, there was a village with a sheriff who was known to be sneaky and deceitful. For several months, there was no rain or crops, and the residents were concerned that the well has been dry for over a month. There wasn’t even a puff of cloud in the sky. Desperate to find a solution, the sheriff vowed to reward anyone handsomely if he or she could make it rain.
A traveler in an old black cloak passed through this village with his mule and happened to see a posting of this reward. He stated he wished to give it a try, and the residents and sheriff were amused by this little fellow. He pulled out his fiddle, stood on the mule, and played rigorously like the sounds of thunder. The residents mocked him, and returned to their daily chores. As he continued to play faster for over an hour, clouds appeared and moved faster as he play faster and faster. Suddenly the clouds started to form and it started to rain in the village.
The traveler went to claim his reward, but the sheriff refused. The small traveler was furious, approached his mule, and pull out a large fiddle and playing even louder than before as he slowly rode away on his small mule. The rain poured so heavily for days that the whole crops and village were flooded and washed away.
