From Sunday 3rd September 2017 there will be major changes affecting route 89 which runs from Canterbury to Dover via Aylesham. On the northern section route 89B which serves Bekesbourne and Adisham will have it's two daytime return journey's withdrawn and will only continue to be served by a morning and afternoon school bus.
Pictured at the Pond Hill terminus in Adisham, Stagecoach South East 18173 GX54 DVR waits to work the return working of the lunchtime route 89B from Canterbury. This lunchtime return journey from Canterbury is the only working to terminate here as the morning northbound journey and afternoon southbound working start and terminate at Aylesham. Tuesday 29th August 2017.
TransBus Trident 10.5m - TransBus ALX400
A nice obscure midicoach to turn up was this Fiat 55-10 with one of the earliest bodies built by Harwin from Bootle. It had been new to nearby operator Matthews of Caerleon in 1979, moving here in 1983.
In 1988, it joined the Roberts Coaches at Plymouth, but soon became a Western National fleet member when they took over Robert Risk's operation a few months later. It lasted there until 1991, but was presumably scrapped after that.

The C4 Corvette was launched in 1984 with sleek modern looks, in a departure from previous generation Corvettes the C4 was produced with its rear bumpers and panels were made from molding plastics, a sheet molding compound, against the fiberglass panels of the earlier cars. The C4 Coupe was the first general production Corvette to have a glass hatchback (the limited edition 1982 Collectors Edition being the first Corvette equipped with this feature) for better storage access.
Unlike the evolution of the earlier generations, the C4 had a completely new chassis with an emphasis on handling and braking, with all-independent suspension with light-weight suspension and wheels, and all new brakes with aluminum calipers. The front suspension saw the C3's coil springs replaced by a transverse fiberglass mono-leaf spring, which was only 1/3 of the weight of the coil springs while also introducing an anti-roll bar-like effect on the front. Improving handling but detracting from ride comfort. The C4 did not use separate body-on-frame construction like its predecessors. Instead, it used what GM termed a "uniframe", which consisted of a traditional perimeter frame, with the door posts, windshield frame, halo, and the rear portion of the floor pan integrated into one welded assembly. This was not a unibody assembly, as none of the exterior body panels were structural members.

BR D2245, complete with a small rake of box vans and 08528 Derwent Valley Railway night shoot. D2245 spent most of its short BR working life allocated to York shed, being withdrawn from Goole in 1968 and sold to the Derwent Valley Light Railway the following year.

These ordinary looking glasses record still images and hands free video from the tiny pinhole in the center of the bridge with full sound and color. Perfect for sporting events.
Images are grainy in low light but much better in full light or outdoors. Modern technology. Check the next pic in my photostream for a still shot from a video I took wearing these glasses today. This is a fun photographers gadget!
