GWR Collett 0-4-2T 1420 crosses the River Dart near Buckfastleigh on 13-3-99.

I have always thought of this railway as being the Dart Valley Railway harking back to my visits in the 1970's. In 1989 the line came under review as a going concern and the new company The South Devon Railway began operating services from 1st January 1991.

This is a well known location which I haven't visited for many years. The lack of photos that I could find of this view suggests that nature has become more of a challenge. Even in 1999 a one coach train hardly fitted in the gap between the trees.

Quick experiment wall that I've done today. A couple of hours, Freestyle and weird colors are combined to create something well.. i shall say something interesting.

The idea needs further investigation.

Portrait is referenced to Konstantin Melnikov, brilliant Russian architect, whose works I've studied earlier this year.

From Sunday 3rd September 2017 there were major changes affecting route 89 which runs between Canterbury and Dover via Aylesham. On the northern section route 89B which served Bekesbourne and Adisham had it's two daytime return journey's withdrawn and only a morning and afternoon school bus retained.

Pictured here departing from the Pond Hill terminus in Adisham, Stagecoach South East 18173 GX54 DVR is seen returning to Canterbury on route 89B. This lunchtime return journey from Canterbury was the only working to terminate here as the morning northbound journey and afternoon southbound working started and terminated at Aylesham. Tuesday 29th August 2017.

My attempt at Blackburn Bus Company 227 YJ16 DVR.

Late July 2016 saw the introduction of 18 new Optare Versas on Routes 6&7. The Versas largely replace Volvo B10BLE's which will no doubt end up elsewhere. This is also the second route to have the new diagonal livery of two colours applied, with Red Express X41 being the first, which I have also done a model of.

This model is a slightly older version of the versas's that are in operation in Blackburn, but they are more or less similar. This is the easiest model I've ever taken apart, with only one screw to take out underneath and the rest follows. This allowed the interior to be repainted as well. The blue colours mix well together and with the graphics, this model has turned out really nice, rather proud of it myself!

(If anybody needs any help with modelling just message me).

Designed by Enrico Fumia of Pininfarina with interiors by Walter de Silva of Alfa Romeo Centro Stile, along with a Spider version. The exterior design was finished in July 1988. Production began in late 1993 with four cars, all 3.0 V6 Spiders, assembled at the Alfa Romeo Arese Plant in Milan.

In 1997 a new engine, a 24-valve 3.0 litre V6, was available for the GTV along with bigger, 305 mm (12.0 in) brakes and red four-pot calipers from Brembo. The console knobs were changed from round central to rectangle ones and to a three-spoke steering wheel. Some versions were upgraded with different front bumper mesh to bring the wind noise down to 74 dBA.

In May 1998 the cars were revamped for the first time (Phase 2), mainly the interior was changed with new centre console, painted letters on skirt seals, changed controls and switches arrangement and different instrument cluster. On the exterior main changes included chrome frame around the grille and color-coded side skirts and bumpers.

With a further facelift in 2003 for the final full model year, also designed in Pininfarina but not by Enrico Fumia. Main changes are focused on the front with new 147-style grille and different front bumpers with offset numberplate holder

The loco was bought by the DVR from British Rail in 1969 to work the line which originally ran from Layerthorpe, York to Cliffe Common, near Selby. It closed in stages from 1965, the last section between Layerthorpe & Dunnington closing in 1981.

Replacing an earlier scanned photo with a better version, plus Topaz DeNoise AI 11-Feb-25, some slight 'yellowing' along the top edge.

First flown with the Boeing test registration N1787B, this aircraft was delivered to GATX B737-800 Partners BV and leased to Novair Sweden as SE-DVR in Apr-99.

It was returned to the lessor in Apr-04 and immediately leased to SunExpress Airlines as TC-SUM. The aircraft was fitted with blended winglets in May-05.

It returned to the lessor in May-16 and was leased to Blue Air (Romania) as YR-BMD later the same month. The aircraft was sub-leased to TUI Airlines Netherlands in Jun-16 and returned to Blue Air at the end of Oct-16.

It was ferried to Tucson, AZ, USA at the end of Dec-19 and stored. It was sold to the Boeing Capital Corporation as N748BC in Jan-20 and remained stored at Tucson.

It was sold to GA Telesis in Sep-20 and re-registered N288LR in Nov-20. It continued in storage at Tucson until it was ferried to Miami, FL, USA in Jan-21 to await freighter conversion.

The aircraft was converted to full freighter configuration in Jul-21 and ferried to Dothan, AL, USA for painting. It was due to be leased to Mesa Airlines and operated on behalf of DHL Aviation but the lease and sub-lease was cancelled.

In Aug-21 it was leased to Compass Cargo Airlines, Bulgaria as LZ-CXA and continues in service. Updated 10-Feb-25.

Note: Novair Sweden ceased operations on 09-Sep-23.
