I snapped this guy getting his surf board ready to hit the waves a few years ago during my first trip to California. I originally thought that he wasn't your "typical" surfer but soon found out that he actually is a typical SoCal surfer dude! I thought it was pretty cool, what a way to retire! Wow!
If you ever get to Cardiff-by-the-Sea (near San Diego) make sure you stop for a bite to eat at "Pipes". It's a really cool spot that all the surfers eat breakfast at before they hit the waves.
BTW, I just started watching "John from Cincinnati" which takes place near here. The show reminded of this trip so I was looking at my old photos and came across this shot that I really liked. I don't do as many candid portraits as I would like so I thought I would share this one as it one of my favorites.

happy halloween , we don’t have much celebrations here but lucky I did see some last Saturday . Was very dark inside the bar , and had problems to get stuff sharp after a few beers .
Many times at Flea Markets there are bags of old toys that I purchase cheap. Some things have not even been shot yet.
He is supposed to be on a skateboard but I liked him better this way.
I am out all day doing a family photo thing. Catch you all tomorrow.
