I've been collecting for a while, but only recently came upon "Just Ducky". The box says, "not a toy" and promises, "big picture quality". I just thought it was cute. I think it's somewhat rare, because the company that sold this, Department 56, focuses on Christmas ornaments, like villages. Ducky may be from 1999, so 25 years old, but all feathers still there. I'll definitely shoot a roll.

This Duck was such a poser. You can even believe he/she is smiling.

Taken 17th September 2009 in the grounds of Bolton Abbey up in the North Yorkshire Dales at about 3pm while I was sat eating a sandwich.

As I sat there nibbling at my sarnie this duck waddled over to me and I said to it 'Give us yer best pose and yer can 'ave half my duck sandwich'. Being well known for their cannibalism the duck readily agreed and he posed for two shots - one on each side of his beaky looking face.

I promptly finished off the sandwich while directing the ducks attention to the sign which read - DO NOT FEED THE DUCKS.

For th Macro Mondays Theme Wet.

I dropped a tiny rubber ducky into a glass of water. I have cropped the image to stay within the dimensions.The duck measures a maximum of 5 cm at the largest point. I have images with more splash and drops, but then the size of the overall image would no longer fall within the rules of Macro Mondays.

Iff you’ll excuse me, I'm going to deal with cleaning up the wet mess
