One of the features I really like about the MPC 1000 is the USB port. It doesn't sound like much but I've fallen in love with the convenience of being able to create samples on my laptop using Ableton Live and then port them over to the MPC with no loss in audio quality.
My only gripe is that its USB port is very slow. Maybe there's a mod that I can do to switch for a faster one? Hmmmm ... I see a new toy in my near future.
