This week's 52Frame assignment is on, “Perspective.” This was my runner-up photo. This is the inside of a commercial dryer taken with my GoPro.
It is a job. He goes around collecting food leftovers from restaurants, street vendors , wherever he can find something , and sells it as animal food. Taken from the back seat of a moving motorcycle .
Morinaga has also a new wig!
Well, the one he wears at the photo is not his... it's Balta's wig, from my sister.
But Morinaga's wig'll be practically the same, so I've put it on him and I love the result.
And he looks great with his drum set :)
Morinaga is a little bit shy and quiet, but he lives the music.

Distant Drums arrived in late March looking very healthy, even having a tiny bud!!
It was planted in our garden 3/28/24 and just 16 days later we are looking at its very first bloom!
Today I read about it, but I've been all the morning like "whaaaaat!"...
The case is that Jörg Michael, the drummer of Stratovarius, leaves the band after 15 years because personal reasons.
I'm very sad about it, I know he'll still work with them, but it won't be the same.
For me, Jörg Michael has been the best metal drummer ever.
We will miss you Jörg D:
He has no name yet, but I bought him a drum set a month ago xD
It's part of the story I'm thinking, I'll do the photostories soon but I'm planning and making the dioramas so it'll take time.
But I can advance that it'll be a music group with Logan and the Isul, and other characters that I cannot talk about...
I thought that the Isul could be like a young Jörg Michael or something.
The rhythm is below me
The rhythm of the heat
The rhythm is around me
The rhythm has control
The rhythm is inside me
The rhythm has my soul

Jimmy Cobb (20 January 1929 – 24 May 2020).
Washington, D.C.'s own, Wilbur James "Jimmy" Cobb was the man who kept time for Miles Davis.

▶ "Jimmy Cobb, whose subtle and steady drumming formed the pulse of some of jazz's most beloved recordings, died at his home in Manhattan on Sunday [24 May 2020]. The cause was lung cancer, says his wife, Eleana Tee Cobb. He was 91.
Cobb was the last surviving member of what's often called Miles Davis' First Great Sextet. He held that title for almost three decades, serving as a conduit for many generations of jazz fans into the band that recorded the music's most iconic and enduring album, Kind of Blue.
It's impossible to overstate how much his playing, which propelled that all-star group forward with delicate washes of cymbals and brush-stroked snare, contributed to Kind of Blue's undeniable bounce and feel. 'Jimmy, you know what to do,' Davis told Cobb before the session. 'Just make it sound like it's floating.' "

▶ "Every jazz fan has a favorite record with the NEA Jazz Master on it. From Miles Davis’ Kind of Blue to John Coltrane’s Giant Steps, Jimmy Cobb's impeccable swing laid the foundation for some of the most important events in jazz history—and he never stopped playing and contributing.
Every time Mr. Cobb sat down behind the drum set at Dizzy’s Club, we all shared an awed sense of gratitude to have the living legend on our stage. From his own headlining birthday celebrations to shows led by young, up-and-coming musicians, Jimmy’s powerful groove and personal generosity were unfailing."

I snuck into the auditorium where the kids have music class and poked around taking pics on my lunch break.

As a firm supporter of the lean Startup approach, the GigNroll team completed its second wave of photo-shooting in the end of October 2014.
Getting a number of interesting captures that expanded existing listings, we got useful experiences that gave us true insight in what a backline company is… Many thanks to our friend Phil.

I could not resist posting this shot that I took a week or so ago. I was walking along the banks of the River Humber with some friends and we spotted somewhat incongruously a drum kit. The explanation was a local music shop was having some photographs taken for their web site. I obviously had to take one of my own. In the background you can see the Humber Bridge
Apologies for not commenting much yesterday I was incredibly busy
THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT HAVE A GREAT DAY
