Drum Castle is a castle near Drumoak in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. For centuries it was the seat of the chief of Clan Irvine. The place-name Drum is derived from Gaelic druim, 'ridge'. The site is located approximately 6+1⁄2 miles (10.5 kilometres) northeast of Banchory and 3 miles (5 kilometres) west of Peterculter. The property is now owned by the National Trust for Scotland and is open to the public.

The Drums Plea - BY Lynsey Nozaki

Have you ever thought why the circle near the tavern is called the Drum circle? No?

Many don't.

The drums by the river look at you,

beg of you to play on them.

And yet, everyone ignores them, and would rather dance to the ready made music

that continues on and on...

and on...

They begin to ponder why they are there

they weep silent tears from the silence

the silence,

the silence of the drums.

and now they begin to rust from the ignorance...

Suddenly,

One lone auburn Quende passes from the crowd,

she looks eager,

she sits by the little conga!

and she begins hitting it!

The drums rejoice and cheer!

But it is short-lived,

as she walks away with a nearby white knight...

The drums weep silent tears once more from the silence

the silence...

the silence of the drums.

And begin to rust once again...

The famous rock star Vic Pearth preferred to skip the tour bus and instead travel on his trap set speeder. No teardown and setup required! This is another speeder bike built for 2021 LSB contest, the Musically Inspired category. And especially fitting, since I’ve always wanted to build a drum set!
