I treated my trusty Dropbar Exceed with completely new Brifters and Brakes.

The new Sram Red AXS HRD Shift and Brake Levers complete with the new calipers. Shaving some weight, offering easier braking with more power from hoods as well as in the drops and (for me most importantly) increasing the pad clearance in the calipers. All the rest, like carbon bling, independent reach and contact point adjustment and bonus button for ANT+ divices is welcome, too. I could do without the now longer hood but at least I knew what I would get and also pondered becoming a bit longer with my reach on the Exceed anyways. So that was also an aspect in the overall decision to buy this new Red.

If you have any questions you didn’t find in typical bicycle articles about the new Red shifters and brakes or specifically in regard to usage on a Dropbar MTB I’ll happily try to answer.

(You most probably will find much more info, other's questions and answers over on my Instagram, though. So you'll happily invited to look there, also after you used flickr to see these photos in higher resolution here.)

7000 series aluminum with a carbon fork and chainstays. This is a zippy road bike for those who prefer a flatbar to a dropbar. it sold for $1000 new. It includes a triple road crank, paired spoke wheels and a 9 speed Shimano 105 drivetrain. Give it a test-ride. You won't regret it.
