Aerial shot of St Andrew’s Church, Covehithe – a hauntingly beautiful ruin on the Suffolk coast. Once a grand medieval church, much of it was pulled down in the 17th century, with a smaller church built inside the shell

Apparently, mountain goats like their personal space and aren't shy about saying so.

9-5-2022 - St. Paul's Island, Malta.

St Paul's Island, also known as Selmunett, is a small island around 100 meters off the coast of Selmun, Mellieħa near the north of the island of Malta.

St Paul's Island is sometimes split into two islands by a shallow isthmus, and it is therefore sometimes referred to in the plural as St Paul's Islands. St Paul's Island has been uninhabited since World War II.

In 1844 a prominent statue of Saint Paul was erected on the island - Which can be seen to the right of the island.

The sun is rising on another beautiful day. I hope you have a great one filled with warmth and happiness!

Hi ha racons molt macos, i que vistos des dels ulls dels ocells encara milloren. Les cales amb el contrast del blau del mar, el marro i verd de la costa els trobo molt interessants.l.

Train 148 from Berlin to Amsterdam is being diverted via Almere due to planned engineering works at Amersfoort. As this is practically my backyard I grabbed the drone and made a flight.

I’m drawn to boat docks and marinas for the lines and symmetry.

This image shows a traditional Dutch barn situated in a lush, green field near Sixpenny Handley, a village in Dorset, England. The barn features a characteristic curved, corrugated metal roof and open sides supported by metal or wooden posts—an iconic design used historically to store hay or straw while allowing air circulation to prevent spoilage. Surrounded by sweeping fields of young crops and tractor tire marks, the structure stands as a solitary agricultural relic in a serene rural landscape beneath a partly cloudy sky.

Aerial view of The Minster Church of St Nicholas, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk

Founded by Herbert de Losinga, the first Bishop of Norwich, in 1101 and completed in 1119, St Nicholas is England’s largest parish church. Built to serve the growing medieval town and its herring industry, the church originally stood within a walled graveyard, part of which remains visible in the image.

Severely damaged during bombing raids in the Second World War, the Minster was almost completely rebuilt in the 1950s under architect Stephen Dykes Bower. Its copper-clad roof—now a defining feature of the Great Yarmouth skyline—was added during the post-war restoration. The church was granted Minster status in 2011.

Visible in the image are the surviving sections of the medieval town wall in the foreground and the compact urban grid of central Great Yarmouth beyond.

Every year when I visit this spot in the Uintas, I shoot variations of this top down. I never get tired of those bends in the road next to the lakeshore. They never cease to make me smile. Hope you’re smiling on this Tuesday morning!
