The richly decorated gothic pilgrimage church is in Hafnerberg, a hamlet not far from VIenna, it's on the Via Sacra - the route from Vienna to Mariazell - the ultimate pilgrim destination.
I had my regular fix of Ullswater yesterday morning on what turned out to be a pretty driech Lakeland day.
Had a good catch up with a paddle boarding friend and we got a few images of him as he left Glencoyne and headed down towards Glenridding in search of his precious swans.
He has a little cheese addiction and I brought him a chunk of Bourne's Clothbound Smokey Cheshire up as an early xmas present.
'Delightfully undersold the creaminess and complexity of this wonderful smokey and crumbly Cheshire,' I was informed on messenger last night. Yep, definitely a full blown 'cheeseaholic.'

Very much alone in this remote spot in the Sporades. Located at the northernmost tip of the Island Kira Panagia, an island that is part of a marine sanctuary and is uninhabited but for a monastery on it's east coast.

The Kalksteiner Jöchl is one of the lower peaks (2349) on the border between Tyrol and Italy. It was often used by smugglers all the way until the post-war years. In the early days livestock was smuggled after the war tobacco and liquor. It leads from Kalkstein on the Austrian side over the Ross valley pastures to the peak and down to the Tschariet Valley and St. Magdalena on the Italian side.
It was an overcast day, heavy rain and thunderstorms were forecast from the west. I decided to chance it and try the ascent anyway, I made it to the top without getting wet, the approaching rain was clearly visible and closing in fast. It was a wonderful and memorable hike.

We drove through some thick fog on the way here and this must've been the only pocket not shrouded in it although it did slowly burn away as the morning went on. A little inland it was still foggy and a band of fog was over the sea in the distance too.
Had a little bit of everything this morning weather wise. I'd used all the drone batteries up before the sun popped out but was nice to be back on a beach.
