I almost missed. In fact I did miss a number of times. :-)
The drone is flown via a cellphone app. Pretty poor quality images (640x480) but who cares, it's the thought that counts!
"Parrot Drone" "Airborne Cargo Mars"
My house has awful lighting for large MOCs. To be fair this thing is pretty ugly itself. It is also a drone.
Basically it's like a drone with legs and an upper body that can detach and become a jet if need be. the two halves are connected by magnets. I'd get another picture but I left it at home.
Grainy drone photo of the lighthouse at Cape Jervis looking over to Kangaroo Island in South Australia.
Had fun watching these guys cover this superb sunset with a
drone. They could not have picked a better night! They would
hover up a few hundred feet while taking it all in. Fun to see it
fly by. Very expensive toy! - Thanks for looking
*[2021 update: this was almost 7 years ago, when drones
first came out and began getting popular with the public.
Was still new at this time. They were much larger then! ]

37901 'Mirrlees Pioneer' works 6Q70 for RailAdventure from Three Bridges to Eastleigh Works away from Brixton with 700106 in tow for repairs.
This was almost certainly the most photographed train in the south of the UK this week, and with glorious sunny conditions and the first mainline working of a 37/9 'slug' in the area for many many years it is not hard to see why!
I knew there would be fantastic photos all over Flickr- so I wanted to go for something a bit different. Using the drone is always a bit more of a risk than standing on a platform edge, particularly when in urban settings you have not visited before, but aside from perhaps hoping for a slightly longer gap, today everything went to plan.
The six 37/9's were re-engined from standard 37's in 1986; 37901-904 with Mirrlees engines and 37905 & 6 with Ruston engines following a year later. While the later two both survive, 37901 is the sole survivor of the Mirrlees examples. Nicknamed 'Slugs' due to their slow starting performance characteristics, the 37/9's were all withdrawn by EWS by the turn of the millenium. 37901 went on to enjoy a somewhat brief life in preservation before ultimately ending up in the hands of Europheonix. Returned to the mainline in 2022 for spot hire, and subsequently re-painted into Trainload Metals colours earlier this year, the loco is a remarkable survivor.
Not only does it look good, but it sounded great too slowly accelerating its lengthy cargo from a crawl over the junction.
5/2023 - Lordstown, OH
It was neat to find CSX 1320 in the mix. This RP20BD genset was built at the Juniata Shops in 2011. Kind of sad to see it just rotting away here already but gensets didn't really catch on very well.
WE did it!
Drone Haven is in Editors' Picks today!!

So...This is the drone frame I made for Droneuary. It's based off certain portions of many other's frames. Arm design takes inspiration from Somer's design and the head design is tweaked slightly from Forest's design. He can stand up on his own, but he's prone to being slightly unbalanced when items are in his "hands". He's slightly taller than a minifig and has a ton of posable positions.

How can we connect when we don't know what or who we are connecting with? I am very much fed up with technology and wish to live in the woods for a long long time 🙈
4/2023 - Rockhill, PA
I used the mid-day break to get a few drone shots. The rebuilt coal dock shed stands proud over the yard. We'll see more of these later in this album.
11/2022 - Beacon Island, NY
The long drive up and back was rough, but I needed to get out of Blair County. Since these units' fates were being questioned, I figured I'd go try to get some photos. This is the Amtrak RS-3.
This video is about the place where I came from. The place where I was born and raised and spent 28 years of my life. This is a compilation of aerial footages during my various drone sorties there. Due to time and weather constraints, I only managed to capture fewer sceneries than what I had in my wishlist.

If you have a big enough screen you can see a flying object over Sandy's second story, checking out the roof. Our son, Doug, got a small drone for Christmas and Sandy asked if he could check her roof for any possible damage. Doug loves drones and was happy to go over the roof very meticulously. Haha
He is one of four certified drone operators for his Santa Cruz Sheriff's Dept. and recently used a much bigger one in a child abduction/hostage situation, spending 7 hours on site. The baby was safely rescued.
10/2025 - Altoona, PA
Sperry 136 had been recently moved from its long-time parking spot and finally departed Altoona in October.
When I bought the Quinjet set, I was hoping the movie would give some insight on this... thing, which makes up one of the main play features of the Quinjet. Nope, nothing. I don't recall anything like this from any comic or TV show either. Odd.
