The Icefields Parkway is a 230 km / 140 mi long amazing scenic road, travelling through Banff National Park and Jasper National Park, from Lake Louise to Jasper.

This is probably one of the most beautiful road in the world. Snowy summits, glaciers, pine forests, rivers, falls, turquoise lakes, wildlife....

Each kilometer is an amazing moment. Definitely a must do in your life.

The best light is in the early morning, or the late afternoon, which are both the quietest moments to enjoy the place with a few traffic, and spot wildlife (bear, elk, moose, ...)

You may now resume your normal, moronic style of driving. Especially you tourists.

So the work week is over. Have a wonderful weekend friends :))

Here's Ruby who joined me on my first sojourn to the Earnslaw Burn. At one point, I asked her to help get my tripod ready, and she ripped out one of the legs like it was a robot trying to attack her. There's some little piece that fell out that we never found. Now, I have to treat this one leg very gingerly, because it comes out all the time. This was just one of the casualties of equipment during the 4-5 trips we made out into the bush!

November 7: (Part of) My Daily Routine

I took another photo for this assignment, just for fun! I like to drive my car every day, it's routine and fun!! Explore the world... and have fun working : /

Photograph of car on a snowy day for @dailyshoot #ds390 - What makes you anxious? Illustrate it in a photograph today.

After having been involved in a collision on the 401 one winter, I am somewhat anxious about winter driving.

Driving at Gerdes

A shattered windshield baked in sun and heat takes on colorful hues that delighted my eye. Cracked glass create eye pathways and a feel of motion. Anchored by the steering wheel and sense of reality almost intrudes - almost. Light kissed and shape blessed, it keeps my eye intrigued.

Friday evening, cold and sunny.

"Driving Forces:" Sometimes the forces of nature, or the universe, or whatever, seem to steer our path in different directions than what we initially intended. I took this photo over a year ago, during a road trip that was supposed to encompass parts of California, including Death Valley, Alabama Hills, and further up north to Mono Lake. A sudden, unexpected, late winter snowstorm that lasted a bit longer than even anticipated, ended up preventing me from having time to visit Mono Lake before making it back home in time to return to work. But I enjoyed the extra time spent in Alabama Hills, and have wanted to go back ever since. Here is an image of the last bit of paved road leading into the wild granite formations that dot the landscape of Alabama Hills, with Mt. Whitney in the background getting doused with snow, while the dark, ominous storm clouds loom overhead.

Not hard drive, but wouldn't drive my car over it, but some people do . Must be a rental.

Best road trip ever! Across Utah, on the way to Zion National Park

A friend of mine asked me to shoot some video downtown at night, for a band. I never did that (shoot video outdoor at night) so I figured it would be a good idea to do some testing before the real deal.

While driving to the location it beat me that I could mount my tripod and camera and take some photos from inside my car, as I long wanted but never had the time to. So I set the 550d to manual exposure and triggered it with intervalometer.

I guess, next time, I will select a higher f/ stop to improve sharpness and higher ISO to compensate. Not sure i shall increase exposure time, because of bumps in the road.
