last day away and heading home over the Boyne Valley Bridge

This is a close visual approximation of what it felt like driving home at 3AM after a show in Manhattan. I had taken the Merritt Parkway, then gotten off for gas..and got terribly lost in the Westport are, where they apparently don't believe in gaudy accoutrements such as streetlights. I felt like I was hallucinating, and saw eight deer and three turkeys on top of it all.

Pleasant Valley (this place really is named that, heh) will be a busy place tomorrow with the USA Pro Challenge cycling race rolling through here tomorrow with some of the best cyclists in the world.

This truly is one of the nicest views I know that is nearby Fort Collins and a place we often visit for enjoying the sunset from atop Bingham Hill.

Have a great weekend ahead all!

Image Notes: image-blending via luminosity masking techniques was used to expand dynamic range. 7 exposures were used in total.

From Charlotte's birthday party.... the snow came down much sooner than expected... it was beautiful snow... heavy and wet... great for making snowmen... but not driving in it...

This morning I see we got around 5-6 inches.... that is clinging to everything!! Later on we'll venture out and tackle digging out...

KCS 4671 takes the lead of CP 577 as it rides over the Crow River in Rockford, MN. This train had to make a big pickup of hoppers at Humboldt which killed enough time for the sun to come out of the clouds.

Passed my road test at Willmar last Friday. I can finally drive myself to railfan. When I heard about this train coming I got motivated to drive out further than what I have been able to bike to and thus was the result.

Ironically this was the day KCS said yes to accepting CP. We shall see what happens in the future...

Copying castrowoof with a driving shot taken about 10 YEARS ago...yikes! :)

Combo of 2 Wombo pics, using the same prompts. Made the baby smaller and blended with Pixelmator Pro.

Prompts: Cute caricature of sweet baby alien sitting on toy spaceship,, ultra realistic scaly skin, exaggerated facial features, cute expressions

Style: Abstract Fluid

Wombo does beam up some amazing alien characters.

This seems to be turning into an extraterrestrial Tuesday. Hope you enjoy the close encounters!

Enjoying the back-roads of Southern Indiana this past fall.

See?" he said, with an unholy amount of glee. "I hardly broke any laws at all. I should drive more often."

"No. Trust me, you shouldn't," Eve said. "Think of all the little old people and the children.

This one's for my baby who got her driving license yesterday :)))

A rite of passage for us here

Its quite the Big Deal :))

Actually a great driver, she was gunning for 0 mistakes on her test, but ended up with 2 ;))

I think thats pretty kick-ass, if you ask me :)

Even the guy who took her for the drive wrote "Great Drive!!" on her test

That's my over-achiever for ya!

Now she wants to drive to the beach :/ and I said, "NO!!" so someone is not very happy LOL

Have yourselves an awesome day, and don't be shy to say, "No!"

I do it all the time ;)

It was raining cats and dogs.

Taken in the rain whilst waiting in queueing traffic. Shot with a Google Pixel 6 and processed in Lightroom Classic CC.

Taken as part of a “Reflections and Rain” photo project.

made with the GorillaPod SLR Zoom and the remote control.

Somewhere in West Australia, near Mundijong. The traffic was a challenge and the Roos had attitude in the evening, but we managed to get around just fine.

This bendy road weaving its way down the hillside below Mam Tor has given me some good shots over the past few years. Here it was nice to get a car heading down the road and a nice gathering of sheep into the bargain.
