A photo taken while on Highway 95 in Canada - as a passenger, not the driver! Now posted for the theme "Vanishing point" of Smile on Saturday. When you zoom in, you can see two cars in the distance. Far away ...

My memories of the trip to Canada are very sweet ...

The road from Kettlewell to Hawes. Langstrothdale , early autumn

On the road through Langstrothdale - in spring.

Evening photo on Montana's Highway 200, east of Missoula. The only camera I had with me at the time was an old point & shoot. To quote another photographer I know, "The best camera is the one you have with you at the moment."

Randsburg, Ca.

On our way home from the recent trip, we were looking for a spot to stop and have a picnic lunch. I've been to Randsburg previously, so when we came to the turnoff leading a short distance to the town, I took it knowing there would be a place to lunch. The town is called a ghost town, but it has 69 residents according to the census. On this day you would swear that it was truly a ghost town. No tourists, and not a soul to be seen. Pretty eerie.

Driving back home via Torridon we stopped to picture this wonderful house overlooking Loch Coultrie with the Sgorr Ruadh mountain range bearing down in the distance. Such a picturesque and peacefully scenic area to live in.

Highway 77 North of Tonkawa

Another of the beautiful back roads of Nova Scotia, which just happens to be on my way home. I miss being able to be on Flickr more often and please know that I miss all of you and your beautiful work. I really appreciate the ongoing visits and comments, even though I haven’t been here. It warms my heart. I hope you are all taking care of you and yours during these very trying times.

Had my son out on a driving lesson when a small winter storm blew through so this was a phone snap. Unusually there was quite a bit of lightning for a winter storm.
