I gave the flock at Wright-Locke Farm some fresh water today, and soon they were chugging Ito down. Since birds don't have swallowing muscles, they have to tilt their head back to get the water down.
My friend turned me on to Olaf Erwin and this image is sort of loosley based on his techniques. I wanted to create three distinct figures with very different emotional airs about them. Using multiple frames I was able to compose this image. With selective blurring techniques the primary images pop even with a busy background.

during the rainy season the wildlife of the Kalahari is not that dependant from the waterholes so you can see them drinking from any puddle, like these two giraffes, KTP, South Africa

These asters bloom late just in time for the butterflies flight south. Did a little different processing this time.
