I'm dying of thirst, I must have one last drink before the search begins. I have always found this port town a wonderful place to quench my odd appetite, with much riff-raff of the lowest orders who make such fine companions when you're really feeling famished. You will often find them wandering alone some dark back alley, broken spirits long forgotten by this cold, unforgiving world and with no one to miss them after they are gone.
Relaxing after a long day

Male Impala (Aepyceros melampus) cautiously takes a drink from the Chobe River at sunset. He's thirsty, but there are Crocodiles in the water - so he's alert.
I almost forgot about his shot while processing previous photos in the library. Glad I checked the old folder once again.
The ripple on the surface and the drops from its bill tell the story of this Altamira Oriole drinking at a water source in Bentsen—Rio Grande Valley State Park in Texas, USA. There was a blind (hide) for observation and photography. This species only just makes it into southern Texas, at the far north of its primary range in Mexico and Central America.
Male Northern Flicker getting a nice long drink. The ice is from Bandit's bucket of water that freezes over night with the single digit temps. I give him fresh water so he can drink while he is outside. So I take the frozen water and put it in the heated birdbath. It melts slow and fills up the bath. My backyard. Central Bucks, PA.
Revelation 22:17: The [Holy] Spirit and the bride (the church, believers) say, “Come.” Let the one who hears say, “Come.” Let the one who is thirsty come. Let the one who desires, let them drink the water of life freely.
Revelation 22:20: He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
Which one would you choose?

This Pigeon isn't going to let the fact that he's wearing a tag, stop him enjoying a drink with his pal!

Over drinks, two buddies chat,
Laughing loud, they share their tales,
From past adventures to future plans,
In clinking glasses, their friendship blends.
