This was part of a family mob of 12 emus that came drown for a drink in the Darling River, Mid West New South Wales
White duck, there's only this one in the group of ducks that hang out on the Russian River near my house, drinking in the river.
I appreciate thoughtful and respectful comments. Please NO multiple invites in one
comment, NO invites to groups with 'post 1, comment 2' or more rules (I don't play by
the 'rules'!), and NO glittery, shimmering invites and/or comments....these will be deleted.
Mmm…lemonade! Make mine sugar free, please!
This Blythe doll is Lady Panacea, wearing a vintage Skipper dress. This picture is for the theme “Drink” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.
Beneath spring blossoms with a pot of wine,
No friends nearby, so I pour alone;
I raise my cup to invite the moon,
Turn to my shadow, we three.
Alas, the moon cannot drink,
And my shadow merely follows silently,
But with such friends
I still find pleasure in life,
Make the most of the evening.
And when I sing, the moon sways with me;
Whenever I dance, my shadow goes wild.
Drinking, we share our secrets;
Drunk, we each go off on his own,
But agree to future revels,
Promising to meet in the far Milky Way.

A fly having a drink supplied by a Cornflower. I really like how the cornflower looks in the infrared spectrum. Mostly it's white, but the central parts stands out colored.
This picture was sent to me by a friend with no ID who made the picture. It’s been around the internet. I used Photoshop to improve the image for Flickr
But what’s really important is not the picture maker but who did the sculpture? This is an amazing work of art. I like how the artist uses minimal carvings on each pumpkin and yet you know exactly what he is trying to say. As an art historian I would rank it with other great sculptures especially those of the modern era. This would make a wonderful addition to any museum. If the artist could be identified I would lovingly place his or her name here.
Every time I look at this I laugh or smile. So that’s the main reason I placed it. Flickr people have a good laugh in these sad economical times.

I had a Cola (such a bore haha)
Drinks and Catch-up Chat with One of the BEST and most genuine and understanding people in the world. I am so privileged to be able to call them a Friend of many years. I feel sorry for you that they aren't yours hahaha, honestly you're missing out :D
My word did they deserve this pint. Life has never been easy for them but incredibly HARD. They still amaze me how they manage to smile and crack jokes every.single.day despite the hard times and the lack of independence and Isolation they've always had due to their disability. Independence that those who are lucky enough to have it fully, can so easily take for granted.
Enjoy your well earned drinks. EVERY.SINGLE.DROP.
Even if it's 'just' a cola. And if it's on your own. Just appreciate that you can.
Salute friends! 🍻
