A peek into the beer fridge behind the bar at Drink Baar in Tallinn reveals many English beers (from breweries such as Shepherd Neame, Harviestoun, Meantime, Wychwood) and ciders (from Aspall and Thatcher), but just a few craft breweries (Mikkeller, BrewDog, Malmgård). And no Estonian beer.
somebody told me that bees get all liquids from flowers... wrong... these bees were all drinking from near the water fountains..
I've noticed another drink before at my local Persian restaurant. It's called "dough", and the menu describes it as a "carbonated yoghurt drink". It sounds disgusting.
This, not so much. This drink might be exactly what dough tastes like. Carbonated, milky, and - I don't like this word - smooth. Not really that yoghurty though. It's sweet, not sour. It's actually not too bad.
The can says "New feeling of soda beverage". I say "Explosion in your mouth".
A wild Muscovy duckling accepting a refreshing drink from the hose. Its mother -- a frequent visitor in my backyard -- and eight siblings were equally as delighted by the fresh running water.

Bastet, the most adorable & also most expensive street-find, to date... And let me just say, for an alley cat, she sure has impeccable taste! Ergo, watch out for those calicos!
Proof positive -->
The goddess Bastet was usually represented as a woman with the head of a domesticated cat. However, up until 1000 BC she was portrayed as a lioness. Bastet was the daughter of Re, the sun god. It may have been through him that she acquired her feline characteristics. When Re destroyed his enemy Apep, he was usually depicted as a cat. As portrayed as a cat, she was connected with the moon (her son Khonsu was the god of the moon). When shown as a lioness, she is associated with sunlight. Bastet was the goddess of fire, cats, of the home and pregnant women.
From Ancient Egypt: the mythology
So, here she is drinking from the bathroom sink faucet. Did I mention she ONLY drinks water from a faucet? Any faucet will do, but now she's started a new thing where she's actually climbing in the sink & giving herself a bath. Killing two birds with one stone, I suppose?
And, out of all the blankets in the space, she's chosen the most expensive one I've ever purchased - a cashmere throw (so I got it @ a sample sale & it was $700 off, still) as her favourite. Loving it in only the way a feline can, she's shredded it to bits. It now looks more like swiss cheese than a smart throw!
...BUT... just look...I can't stay mad for long, or at all, really. People who don't even like cats (and that did include me) even fall in love with her. Alas, I'm now one of "those". As in, one of "those" single-women-with-a-cat cliches! LOL.
