I spent the weekend at one of the most peaceful and serene places in Tuscany, Fattoria Conciano where I attended a wedding of a dear friend of mine.

The hotel is located in the little charming village of Cinciano on one of the beautiful hills in the Poggibonsi area which overlooks the enchanting Tuscan countryside.

The dresscode was Dolce Vita Chic! Accordingly I chose to wear this gorgeous shiny dress by Vintage Story Boutique Lebanon. I styled it with my small YSL bag and my all time favorite Dolce Gabbana lace boots.

Dress: Vintage Story Boutique

Bag: YSL

Shoes: Dolce Gabbana

----

WARDROBE

ALL TEAM MEMBERS MUST READ AND UNDERSTAND THE WARDROBE INFORMATION

REMEMBER YOU NEED TO DRESS TO IMPRESS. You are coming to appear on

television, and you need to dress accordingly. You must have a total

of three outfits (bring two, wear one). Your clothing has to be clean

and pressed and have no slogans or logos (i.e. POLO, TOMMY, DKNY).

PLEASE DO NOT BRING DARK CLOTHING!! You cannot wear ALL dark

clothing, dark bottoms (slacks & skirts) are fine but you have to wear

brightly colored tops. BRIGHT, BOLD colors look best on camera and

with our set. If you wear all black or dark clothing you will not

appear on the show. NO BLUE TOPS’. Due to the color of our

background blue tops don’t look good on the show. PLEASE AVOID

FLORESCENT & PALE COLORS (such as light yellow and pink), as they are

too bright for television. Also, avoid MIRRORS, SPARKLES OR

RHINESTONES on all clothing. If you have an item of clothing you

love, but doesn’t quite meet our standards, bring it with you and we

will review it during your wardrobe check. Your entire body will be

seen on camera. You must wear nice pants or skirts and nice shoes.

We understand you want to express your own personal style but IF YOU

DO NOT FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES SET, YOU WILL NOT APPEAR ON THE SHOW.

Please call us if you have any questions.

**If you serve in the U.S. Military we would like you to wear your uniform.**

*WOMEN:

NO White clothing (Absolutely None), Polka dots, checks, stripes, busy prints

NO Jeans, Casual Pants (Capris) or Denim

NO Formal evening wear

NO Tennis or athletic shoes, sandals

NO Turtlenecks

*MEN:

NO White clothing (Absolutely None)

NO Polka dots, checks, stripes, plaid, small busy prints, especially on your ties.

NO Jeans or denim, Athletic or tennis shoes

YOU MUST WEAR A BELT

**Your shirt must be a long sleeve dress shirt and it must be pressed**

Bring at least three different colored, long sleeve shirts, several

ties and at least one extra pair of slacks. If you own a suit jacket

please bring it with you. We prefer you wear a lighter colored suit.

You can bring a dark colored suit (black, navy or dark grey) provided

you wear a brightly colored dress shirt and that others on your team

are not wearing dark colors. Again, if you wear all dark colors you

will not appear on the show.

HAIR & MAKE-UP

YOUR HAIR AND MAKE-UP MUST BE DONE AT HOME BEFORE ARRIVING AT THE

STUDIO. We know that some women and young girls do not wear make-up.

However, when you appear on camera it is necessary for women over 15

years of age to wear make-up base, lipstick and mascara. If you don’t

wear some makeup, the bright studio lights will make you look very

washed out (i.e. YOU WILL LOOK BAD ON TV). We do not supply make-up

for health reasons. Please arrive with your hair & make-up done, there

will only be time for you to do touch ups. EVERYTHING IS ON A

SCHEDULE AND TIME IS PRECIOUS!

Stylish Steampunk outfits

My sketchnotes of the "Manage your professional image" workshop given by Claire Soper during EC #careerday16 (in a mix of French and English).

The first part, in the right page, was about other's people perception on yourself based on your body language (and clothes). Claire explained rules on how to dress to give a good impression and to influence other's opinion, as well as how to protect yourself. I was quite skeptical and scared by what I hear.

During the second part, in the left page, Claire explained that, despite the rules, everyone has to respect her own personality and keep her own individuality. This implies that everyone has to learn to know herself. This is more in line with my beliefs :-).

The room was crowded, no available seat nor table for me. I took my notes while standing, my notebook in one hand and my marker in another one.

Brussels, 15 November 2016

The 2nd week of the International Fashion Royalty Jet Set Diva contest. The invitation reads:

"You're cordially invited to Breakfast at Tiffany's with at twist!

Dresscode: Le black evening gown & le twist accessory..."

Luna had just been to Tiffany's to buy some new diamond bling. Once again she didn't want to lose her necklace, but she still wanted to show it around during her shopping trip, so she had it sewn on her dress! Her asymmetrical black lace gown was another Rolando DeMarco design, and it was partly very revealing. The last time Luna had been in Paris a few weeks before, she had had a terrible row with her boyfriend Axl Strand, and they haven't spoken since then. But Luna is done waiting to hear from him and done being the 'good girl' she has always been...

So Luna took Mr. Jared Brazendale, her model friend and bodyguard, with her when she went jewelry shopping in the morning. They drove around the city on his motorcycle and stopped for a little breakfast moment in front of a Parisian street café. Luna posed dramatically for the paparazzi as she stepped off the motorcycle to accept her purchases... Of course she bought a coffee and a sandwich also for her special accessory, Mr. Brazendale, who matched perfectly with Luna's other accessories. The paparazzi were thrilled to get this picture, but Axl might think something else if he gets to read any French papers.

Luna told the papers: "No, I am not going to wear sunglasses, because they would cover my beautiful eyes, do you not think? And tiaras are for real princesses or little girls. So childish!" Luna's statement made a very proud woman of her aunt, Thalia Paleiotheodoros. Looks like Luna is a real diva in the making.

"Das weiße Dinner" in Hamburg comes from France...in Paris once a year people meet open air to have a picnic together...dresscode is WHITE.

It`s called "Diner en blanc".

.

.

"While the veneer of suburban normalcy may crack, revealing the eccentricities that dwell within, the trailer park community stands as a peculiar microcosm, where the peculiarities of human nature dance amidst the neon glow, reminding us that beauty and darkness are but two sides of the same coin in this Lynchian tapestry of life."

You're cordially invited to: Le Musée International de la Parfumerie

Address: 2 boulevard du Jeu de Ballon 06130 Grasse

Dress code: Romantico

As soon as she read the invitation, a huge grin spread across Chastity-Claire’s face.

She had already visited the Musée International de la Parfumerie quite a few times.

All these fantastic fragrances make her feel like a princess. And even the dresscode was right up her alley, romantic which means ruffles, pearls and flowers, just lovely.

At the museum she was looking at all the perfumes in the glass cabinets and admired the different bottles. And she enjoyed the fascinating odours of a few perfumes. But suddenly she remembered that the perfume she was holding was exactly the one her boyfriend Edward had given her as a present when they had visited the museum together.

Suddenly this memory made her rather sad... Edward she had not seen him for a while, actually since the Challenges started. She missed him dearly and tears filled her eyes.

But then she felt soft fingertips on her shoulder and heard a familiar voice saying:

“Do you grow onion-eyed again, Darling?”

Chastity-Claire turned around: “Edward!!!!!”, she called out, “I can’t believe that you are here!” She beamed at him and fell into his arms.

“Well, you won’t cry Honey, will you?”, Edward said smiling at her.

“No I won’t.”, she replied blinking hard. “But how does it come that you are here?”

“I talked to the Organizers and asked where the next challenge would talke place and thought a little surprise visit wouldn’t hurt.”, he said and winked at her.

“Oh yes indeed a wonderful surprise!!! I missed you so much.”

He looked deep into her eyes and started to sing in a low voice:

“Only you can make this change in me

For it's true, you are my destiny

When you hold my hand

I understand the magic that you do

You're my dream come true

My one and Only You”

They kissed and didn’t even care about the paparazzi standing around them.

Traditionally, dress code is used as gender sign. That gives male (trousers) to the left, and female (skirt) to the right.

But what about body language? The chaste female with legs together, and the wide man spread?

To complicate: Both dress code and body language are cultural, not biological.

I am impressed by the fact that both figures are made of exactly the same three 'body parts'.

Does the vertical line mean that you may be male or female, but not both? And not anything else, as people will become, if we get a third legal gender.
