I was thinking of making a break into our lifes to think of what is happening, to listen to musics that talked to us in the past about other wars and how to reach peace. It will be also a moment to share some great artistic expression of people around sl. Let's survive and send better vibes to our RL world on fire.

ASPHALT WORLD by Joanna Kitten, the December 2025 exhibition @ Nitroglobus Main Hall
It is a pleasure to welcome Kitten back to Nitroglobus Gallery for her fourth exhibition.
Over the years, she has presented three remarkable shows here at Nitroglobus —each distinct in mood and focus—establishing herself as an artist with both technical finesse and a strong visual voice.
This exhibition marks an exciting shift in direction. Drawing inspiration from music, particularly the atmospheric storytelling of the band Suede, Kitten immerses us in a world shaped by sound, memory, and cinematic imagination. The gritty, urban ambience of The Asphalt World becomes the foundation for her exploration of dark cityscapes, infused with elements of science fiction and emotional tension.
In ASPHALT WORLD, Kitten invites us into a realm of shadows, drones, surveillance, motorbikes, and dimly lit streets—a departure from her earlier themes, yet unmistakably hers in mood and sensitivity. It is a powerful evolution in her artistic journey, and I am proud to present this at Nitroglobus.

Description by the artist:
These images were all created at a single sim, Voodoo Land—a dark, urban cityscape. The ideas behind them have been simmering in my mind for some time. Anyone familiar with my Flickr feed will know that music plays a big part in my creative process.
One of my favorite bands is Suede, formed in the 1990s and credited with kickstarting the Britpop movement in the UK. They may be less well known than their more famous contemporaries, Oasis, but they have infinitely more depth.
In 1994, Suede released their album Dog Man Star, which features the song The Asphalt World—a track that, for me, evokes the vision of a dark, gritty cityscape.
Lines like “I know a girl, she walks the asphalt world,” “Sometimes we ride in a taxi to the ends of the city,” and perhaps most famously, “And that’s how it feels when the sex turns cruel, yes, both of us need her, this is the asphalt world,” all contributed to the mood I wanted to capture.
This is the world I aimed to create in my images—enhanced with a touch of science fiction inspired by novels such as Neuromancer by William Gibson and Neal Stephenson’s Snow Crash.
I hope you enjoy my little world of drones, surveillance, motorbikes, and shadowy streets lit only by dim lamps.
Thanks to Dido for allowing me to exhibit again, and to everyone who has encouraged me over the years.

Proud to introduce Monique Beebe, who choose Nitroglobus for her first exhibition ever in a Second Life gallery.
The title of this exhibition is HIDDEN FACES, because you won't see Monique's complete face on any of the works exhibited. Why hidden? Well when I asked Monique she told me she is a rather shy person and hates to be in the spotlights.
Although Monique always liked making photos, they became more and more professional a year ago. These days she spends a lot of her inworld time on SL photography.
Monique is Dutch, has an education in computer art, and photoshop is one of her favorite programs. The works in this exhibition are unique and never shown before in SL.
The style of the works shown in this exhibition is different from her 'normal' photos, it's more sensual than her regular work. She is her own model on all photos shown.

Festivities continued all night long on the Chateau Princess, Captain Vic was partying with the passengers and ended up drunk on Isaac's cocktails, letting the ship drift away.
Early the next morning, all the passengers stranded on a desert island and continued to party, alcohol flowing, happiness in the air and no injuries.
Will the rescue team ever arrive? You are invited to find out about it and to party with us on the beach this Saturday, April 22 at 2PM SLT.

"Fall on your face… but make it FASHUN!"
So I was putting together my outfit for the #MRSL2020 'General Meeting' and I guess I was feelin' my oats a little ~too~ much that I lost track of time… Looked at my watch and 😱YIKES😭 30 minutes till it starts! So I dashed to the bus stop, with a nice hot coffee in hand and my favorite bag in the other, and 💣BOOM‼️ …Before ya know it I was on the ground with nothin but what's left of my pride & dignity LOL… But thanks to the SL Gods & the US public transport system, I got there just in time! (and looked pretty cute too if I may say so myself teehee)
P.s. I have a new-found appreciation for pose makers cause I spent a BAJILLION years trying to make these ones from scratch using AnyPose 😭 but it’s been super fun! Very excited to try and make more and learn along the way 🙏 shoutout to Grant Valeska for the help!

The time is the future. The crew aboard a massive commercial space vehicle is enroute to earth with a load of extraterrestrial ore when they are sidetracked by mysterious signals. The signals seem to be calls for help and when the space ship arrives they find a ruined, moldering motel and within it egg-like living organisms.

BIO HILAIRE BEAUMONT & DESCRIPTION
I discovered Second Life one evening in June 2007. After joining the game and quickly looking around, I assumed I wouldn't stay long.
However, because I had toured around SL so fast, I had overlooked the roleplay community which immediately fascinated me and continued to do so until last year.
The end of the roleplay could have been the final blow to my SL adventure, had it not been that I started to make images of my avatar in RP situations. Since then this is my main activity here in SL.
I don’t consider myself an artist at all, no way.. My main goal is to put emotions in my images and "tell" stories that everyone can interpret in their own way. I guess for me this is a kind of continuity of the role-playing game.

Frank is back at the Annex and I am super happy to show 'Echoes of Illusion', an exhibition which is a significant departure from his previous work 'Shadows of Strength' that was shown @ the Annex last February.
The emphasis on the bold palette of red, black and white and the thematic exploration of freedom and peace, along with Frank's departure from avatar studies, highlights the evolution in his artistic journey, offering viewers a different experience.
This exhibition is a must-see, especially for those who appreciate art, which challenges conventional themes and color palettes.

The images I created for "Echoes of Illusion" reflect and amplify the deceptive nature of concepts like peace and freedom.
I chose the combination of black, white, and red as it best represents the stark contrasts and underlying truths of these dark themes, highlighting how illusions and false promises resonate and reverberate through society.
All the photo sets that you see in the images have been put together by me in my studio.
