Former Dred 66415 (which I think is still a HeavyHaul machine) leads intermodal 70018 through Castle Donington on Tuesday the 20th of April 2016. They are heading for Southampton with the 4O95 12:12 Freightliner service from Leeds.
66422 ‘Max Joule 1958 – 1999’ works 4H47 Coatbridge – Inverness along the River Truim on the approach to Dalwhinnie.

Here I went with a portrait orientation to capture the full height of structures to my front, from the statue to the old courthouse and skies above. I finished up the post-production work by using color control points in Capture NX2 on the construction work just behind the fenced area.
No, this is not a magic place between two worlds, this is the miroir d'eau at Bordeaux in front of the city's place of the bourse.
It was fun jumping on the water mirror through the fog bank that appears every 30 minutes or so. We again went there during night - and I can assure you that our trousers weren't dry afterwards ;)

A last-minute addition to the line-up for the North Norfolk Railway Mixed Traction gala, DRS 66424 had not worked any passenger services before, and was therefore very popular with haulage fans. With the welcome addition of the "DRS Anglia On A Mission" headboad, the GM loco slows towards Weybourne while working 1M20, the 1241 non-stop service from Sheringham to Holt, with resident Class 37 D6732 being used as a brake translator since the loco has air-brakes only and the stock is vacuum-braked.
In London, I wouldn't have batted an eyelid (pardon the pun!), but in rural conservative Wiltshire I was a tad surprised to see the composition of the cricket team! Oh well, society moves on!

Direct Rail Services 'Dreds' pairing of 66428 and 66423 top and tail two HOBC power wagons DR92431 & DR92432 over the River Stour at Cattawade. The class 66's were hauling the unusual consist from Whitemoor Yard, March to West Ealing, London for their next duties across the network. The sun was very much against us by lunchtime, with heavy cloud build up across East Suffolk. As the working passed over the viaduct, a brief ray of sunshine burst through to illuminate most of the scene.

The first of the former DB locos to receive DRS Livery 66091 powers through Cherry Tree with 66098 and 66067 D.I.T. working a comparitively lightly loaded 6K05 with about half a dozen trucks in tow.
This courtroom is directly above the one in which the trial court proceedings in the Dred Scott case occurred, and since the one below it has been substantially altered, it is thought that this best represents how the Scott case courtroom would have originally appeared.
It is also the place where the later Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis was first sworn into become member of the Bar. Originally from Louisville, he practiced law briefly in St. Louis before relocating to Boston. That his his bust over on the left side.
Note that the old Courthouse is part of Gateway Arch National Park in St. Louis:

This was the courthouse where the trial in the Dred Scott case occurred, which subsequently resulted in a decision by the U.S. Supreme Court in March 1857 that further aggravated tensions between the North and South.
