Well I had this idea for a while now, but how often can you get in Dickey Stephens at night without the lights on? Like never. I went to a Travs game this week trying to do this same thing, but the park lights were on so it made getting night skyline pictures impossible.
Then Movies in the Park announced they would be showing Field of Dreams for their Little Rock Film Festival tie in. It truely was a field of dreams for me. I told Ryan Myers about this and he was almost as giddy as I was, so he made it out for the movie too. It was actually his idea to climb up on the visiting teams dugout to avoid the netting. Good idea...

Jan 1 in 2012. I have a friend who has been staying with me for the last 2 weeks and I have seen very little of. I guess the the city has lots of things to offer.
Today we are at Stardust Dinner. The waiters and waitress sing to the customers.
In the middle of dinner there was a speech.
Like in church they passed a bucket to collect money and then said something on this effect.
We are all trying to make it to Broadway and when we are not here we are in auditions, writing our own stuff or taking classes. The money that is in that bucket will be used to continue our education because next year none of us want to be here.
I wonder if I been awake to long that I have forgotten how to dream. I am looking for the moment in which to test if I can fly. :)

I adore this house.
It's on the main street of Berry and is the only house of this style on the street.
This is an absolute vision. I don't know anything about the house, who owns it or who the architect was, but I would love to go inside.

This photo was me having a little fun with the post processing and was completely inspired by Sky Shaper's bold and moving work. (although after playing around with PS I still am not able to achieve his results!)
Poppy Dream teen arrived this morning and I hardly have a "love at first sight" that strong before with any doll as far as i remember. Now I understand all the enthusiastic comments of the lucky owners.
She is just incredible in person and even more behind a camera.
Very quick shots before I take time this week end (event if it's a buzy one !).

Location: Vondelpark, Amsterdam.
Artwork in the public space as a response to the new right-wing coalition in the Netherlands. A minority government consisting of the conservative-liberal VVD and the center-right CDA, tolerated with the support of the Party for Freedom, a party whose main focus it is to halt especially Muslim immigrants. Or street art as a reaction to the overall increase of nationalism in Western politics and public opinion.
The languages used are taken from the top five of migration to the Netherlands, concerning Non-Western countries. Derived from 'The Migration Map', a report by the Research and Documentation Centre of the Ministry of Justice. The countries: The Netherlands Antilles & Aruba, Turkey, Morocco, China and Suriname. The (official) languages: Dutch, Papiamentu, English, Turkish, Arabic, Mandarin and Sranan Tongo.
Besides the visualization of a bureaucratic disposal of dreams the work can be interpreted more general as well. Or, as a representation of dreaming as purifying activity, as the processing of the stream of daily experiences. Or contrary, dreams as waste from the impressions which we receive every day...

I've struggled to decide which one I like most. Benny was my favorite for long but now I think Lami might be winning the battle, because I feel like I should get at least one happy looking bjd. But I have to keep my head cool as I don't think I'd ever find one of these special versions that I like the most :<
And I still think before getting a Lati, I'd need dollndoll Sugar. But that plan might change if I'd find the kind of lati I like....
