I can't show the front just yet because I think it will give away my partner, but here is the back of my bag!

I seem to have lost confidence in some of my patchwork projects that I started earlier this month, including this, this and this. Yeesh!

So I decided to whip up a few In Color Order lined drawstring bags. Well, I really just wanted one in order to store my tupperware for lunch -- that's the one on the right, of course. But when I finished, I decided that I needed more (even though I can't really think of an immediate use for them) -- I'm just hooked on their simple shape and how easy it is to pick three or four fabrics that go well together. Very, very gratifying...I just have to restrain myself from cutting all my other fabrics for these cute bags!

BTW, for the bag on the left, I already used this exact fabric combo when I made my Noodlehead cargo duffle. I am totally in love with it, though. And since I use the duffle every day, I thought was familiar with the print. But when I pulled the remainder out to cut for the drawstring, I saw parts of the map that I hadn't seen before, and I just fell in love with the print even more. I think this might be my favourite print of all time<3 The repeat is so large, and there are so many details that you'll just constantly find something new. Yesterday, I spotted that designer Marie Jacobi drew herself into the map too, including an arrow labelled "hier findest du mich" (here you'll find me, right?). In fact, I'm gonna take a picture of it!

I make no apology for uploading multiple images of our latest puzzle, from a new brand: Wooden Cuties.

Packed in a sturdy box with an illustration of the enclosed puzzle on the front, and a 'puzzle assembly record' to fill in on the back, this brand joins the growing number of British makers using laser technology.

Nice thick pieces (although some are a little on the too-small side for me) and a good selection of whimsies, it's got a slightly loose fit which gives the 'feel' of a hand cut, push-fit puzzle.

Most of the available images aren't to my taste, but I'm hoping that there will be a larger selection in the New Year.

Will I be buying more in future? Probably!

Made from the tiny scraps left from making baby slings and very much inspired by this one.

How's this for someplace to store those "not so chic" shabby things in your pretty shabby chic room??

I had to take a little break from making those embroidered valentines and whipped up this pretty bag!

I whipped up a new drawstring bag today--a little peach and green one with feedsack florals and stripes. These make such nice knitting or crochet project bags, you feed your yarn up through the top and pull the top closed and your yarn still feeds up through the opening but it won't get away from you.

Sample bag for the Sweet & Simple Scrappy Swap - so excited to use my bee hive fabric and my sweet Charlie Harper scraps. I'm using this for sizing to see how my panel idea for my partner's bag will lay as well as how much room I have to stuff it with goodies! I love this pattern!

Here is my yougest daughter's first bag, using one of my favorite fabrics by Heather Ross.

I made long handles so that I can use it too ;-)

Inspired by Red Pepper Quilts for the block, and Pink Penguin for the shape of the bag. Isn't Flickr great for inspiration?

Pattern for the August 2013 issue of the Bustle & Sew Magazine

What a fun bag to make! Made some scrappy pineapple blocks for both sides and crossing my fingers that my #swapaholicsretreat partner will be pleased. 😅💚 #blingbitsswap #drawstringbag

One of our favorite people is turning 7 years old today. His parents are giving him a tent, so we thought we would put together some critical eating supplies for camping. You know like beef jerky.
