Sometimes when I go into Barnes and Noble and peruse the art mags, I see images I have to try out in my moleskine. These were found in the "American Artist - Drawing" mag for winter 2008 and the original artist is Philip Pearlstein.

As there was no danger, any potential trouble not making it past the door, he looked up from the board slowly. Three guys in what appeared to be matching suits. They gave me the quick once over before going back to talking to him, which was fine by me. I held the little leather cup in my hand as I plotted what piece I would move where depending upon which numbers came up.
"I assure you it is the highest quality and that is why we only have a small amount because of this. Trying to harvest too soon and they are so small you would have to eat five of them but they would pass through the links of the net anyways, too old and all they would give you is a head ache...I have tried them once, purely because one should know their product....."
They shook hands, I acknowledged their leaving with a nod of my chin. I thought we could get back the game now but he excused himself saying that he had a call to make. Now was the singers big moment during her set, she would go out into the audience, put the mic in someone's face as she sat on their lap or maybe turned her back to them as she danced to the fanfare of the band. All night she had been working up the courage to beeline right to the boss's table but now it was just me sitting there, she came anyways. The music swelled, she smelled sharply of sweat and some type of flower, only I was close enough to notice that under her sequenced top, her nipples were erect...The microphone ended up in my face and I crooned
"Nothing is sacred...."

Our coloured leaves are all gone and so this is what I came up with. Do I get an 'E' for effort?
Not yet identified who did these, but I don't think it was I. An old friend sent them to me this week.
Ink on paper, just drawing till something comes out. I see two falcons on the head of a skull type face, but the imagination is up to you.
This is quite sharp. I should add notes so you know what's what.
I tend to draw spaces and places that have very impractical designs. For example, here you see a two-way road with light rail in the median on the south side, and then the tracks diverge to be on the outside of the roadway. There's really no point to that.
I think I do that so there's more line activity in my drawing.
You should also note I put in turnstiles at the light rail station. I'm not aware of any light rail system in the world which has automated fare controls.
This is a photograph of a drawing, and not a scan like most of my drawings on here.
Sometimes my mind wonders. I loosely based this drawing off of a friend of mine who used to have this look down pat. Now he's grown out his hair and wears contacts. Oh well.
