Same location as the previous image at the St. Alban Ferry in Basel, but a few minutes earlier. For a short time the sky was rather dramatic with light rays shining on the minster in the background.
Another panorama of the storm that rolled in during the sunset, shot from a different location just down the road.
I was planning on shooting the western sky, but the wind was coming from the west and it was bringing some rain with it. Luckily the sky to the east looked awesome too, so I shot that direction while trying to shield my camera from the rain with my body.
I'm really not sure about this one, but I am sure it will divide opinion....no trickery here I promise, the clouds really were that dramatic! Honest opinions please ;o)
The flood lights of 150 N. Riverside compete with the construction lighting at the Bank of America Tower.

'During WWI the price of rubber rose dramatically. Thomas Edison, Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone were concerned with this national issue. Edison planned to discover a domestic source of rubber from a latex (a white milky sap) producing plant. The three friends formed the Edison Botanic Research Corporation in 1927 and the lab was built in 1928 to support rubber research and development.
17,000 specimens of nearly 2,200 species were planted at the Fort Myers estate. Extensive research proved goldenrod, a common weed, produced latex. Edison's 1,090th patent received was connected to his rubber research, for the process of extracting rubber from plants.
Today the Laboratory is filled with original apparatus and equipment that Edison used to conduct his rubber research, as well as the cot where Edison took "catnaps" while working in the Laboratory.'

Spectacular scene at sunset this evening. Had no clouds most of the day until some altocumulus moved in during the late afternoon which set up some colorful skies. Got some really nice photos. Was difficult to pick which shot to post for the cloud album but thought I would use something different.
I normally shoot a lot of wide angles during sunsets, as I did for this one. But I also wanted a close up of the clouds blowing up with color. Had shades of orange, red and purple at some point. So I zoomed in and inserted the pole to give a dramatic look. Think this is my favorite of the project so far.
