Another Blue Dasher in my garden—this one is sitting on a planter just above a little water pond. The photo was taken with a 300 mm lens with a 1.4 extender. I was as close to him as the camera would focus with that lens, perhaps six or seven feet.
I assume he somehow got dog hair on his wing. He flew around a little bit, but landed on the swing frame where I got all these shots.
This dragonfly resting on a branch has seen better days, with its wings a bit ragged from prior mishaps or perhaps just usual wear and tear!
