This was an experiment using an Inkscape filter on authentically hand done calligraphy. The Inkscape filter was Ridges/RAS A. This was later post processed in GIMP using the curves tool to bring out the colour. I have always like the movies about Dracula, but couldn't get into the tv series.

Flower size 4cm, tails 6cm. Plant size 20-25cm.

Who said Dracula are only high elevation plants. This one was found at 850m growing by a river. I always have thought there should be more species in Costa Rica than the ones reported because every other specimen is very different. It is thought this species is a highly variable one; the sepal tails on this particular plant are very long.
