Ich stehe auf dem Drachenberg mit einem Blick in Richtung Teufelsberg. Der Teufelsberg ist ein künstlicher Berg der durch Trümmer aus dem 2. Weltkrieg zusammengetragen wurde.
Der Teufelsberg ist eines der höchsten geografischen Erhebungen in Berlin mit ca. 120 m
Auf dem Teufelsberg steht eine nicht mehr genutzt Abhöranlage der NSA die besichtigt werden kann.
I stand on the Dragon Mountain with a view towards Devilmountain. The Devilmountain is an artificial mountain gathered by debris from World War II.
The Devilmountain is one of the highest geographical surveys in Berlin with about 120 m
On the Devilmountain there is a dishwasphery system of the NSA, which is no longer in use and can be visited.

Schwubs der Wecker klingte 3:15 Uhr, den der Drachenberg liegt am anderen Ende der Stadt. Zum Glück gab es um 4 Uhr keinen Stau in der Stadt ;) Eigentlich wollten wir die Sonne ganz groß über dem Horrizont ablichten. Doch die Wolken machten uns mal wieder einen Strich durch die Rechnung. Aber dafür gab es dann ein Feuerwerk aus Sonnenstrahlen, welche ich fast noch besser finde :) Ich hoffe es gefällt euch. Habt ein schönes Wochenende. PS Danke an Pommesgabel 1 fürs ausleihen des Objektivs :)

Bei einem Spaziergang am Drachenberg in Berlin konnten wir einen schönen Herbsttag erleben. Dabei habe ich ein paar schöne Makroaufnahmen gemacht!

In the 1870's Benjamin Franklin Schenck, son of Ulysses, built this 12,000 sq ft Second Empire style mansion with its 4 story tower. Benjamin died before this mansion was finished. His family completed the work. They later added a race track in front of the mansion. The building and land was sold in the 1920's to the Indiana Baptist Conference. The next series of owners divided the building into 4 apartments with a 5th being used by the manager. Later a trailer park was built inside the race track, that being the flat land shown above. Finally the property was purchased by a caring family that restored the mansion of a single family and eliminated the trailer park. In 2020 both Schenck mansions were for sale. The other mansion was featured yesterday on my Flickr site. The owner decided to live in which ever was not sold. The famous tattoo artist Kat Von D ought this mansion for $1,550,000 and moved to Vevay from California. Her total name is Katherine Von Drachenberg. She converted to Christianity and blackened her tattoos after moving.

Dat prachtige nummer van Fink had ik in mijn hoofd toen ik vanaf de Drachenberg (Drakenberg) de zon boven Berlijn zag opkomen. Wat een magische ochtend was dit.
That beautiful song by Fink was playing in my head when I saw the run rise over Berlin from the Drachenberg (Dragon Mountain). What a magical morning this was.
