After arriving from Hamburg earlier in the day, the vessel is seen here at its berth at quay nr. 748 at the DP World Terminal in the Delwaide dock. It is sailing on voyage nr 09137S in the CSAV EuroAtlan Service and calls on Rotterdam, Tilbury, Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre, Lisbon, Santos, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Rio Grande, Itajai, Paranagua, Santos, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and back to Rotterdam.

 

Since this picture was taken, DP World stopped container handling at this terminal and it is now used for roro traffic, mainly secondhand cars bound for Africa. The vessel is no longer under charter by CSAV and the name was changed back to Rio Cadiz on 11 December 2012, the launch name of this 2008 built vessel.

Feeder container ship and currently a regular caller at Southampton, departing from Southampton Container Terminal for Antwerp.

 

She displays the classic looks of a JJ Sietas container ship, with the swept back bridge wings and offset funnel. This may avoid any bridge wing / container clashes during cargo operations.

A view of the DP World Terminal at the Deurganck dock with the Cosco Italy loading containers for the Far East. The vessel calls on Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Shanghai, Xingang, Dalian, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Singapore and back to Rotterdam.

 

Further down the terminal is the 4253 TEU capacity Derby D. It sails in the Victory Bridge Service for CMA CGM and calls on Le Havre, Antwerp, Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, Charleston (SC), Savannah (GA), Miami (FL), Veracruz, Altamira, Houston (TX), New Orleans (LA), Miami (FL) and back to Le Havre
