18 December 2021 - Tijdens een zaterdag in de Antwerpse haven was het doel om een Railtraxx-trein met Athus-shuttle te fotograferen op de Kallosluis, de route om bij Antwerpen Kalishoek te komen.
Railtraxx 266 113 passeert met de Athus-shuttle vanaf Athus (lokwissel voor een diesel op Antwerpen Noord) naar Antwerpen Kalishoek bij de Farnesebrug, en bereikt bijna het eindpunt.

Die auch als „Speyerer Linie“ bezeichnete Hauptbahn von Schifferstadt nach Wörth (Rhein) kann bis heute mit nicht unerheblichem Güterverkehrsaufkommen aufwarten. Hauptgrund dafür sind die Rheinhäfen in Speyer und Germersheim, wobei in Germersheim hauptsächlich das DP World Containerterminal für Aufkommen sorgt.
Eine verlässliche Leistung dorthin, die fotografisch allerdings eher ein Schattendasein fristet, ist der auch als „Germersheim-Shuttle“ bezeichnete Containerzug aus Ludwigshafen. Dieser pendelt zwischen der BASF und dem DP World Terminal, wobei die BASF Werkbahn selbst die Traktion übernimmt.
5 December 2020 - Gezien het originele vervolgplan een beetje in het water viel, werd maar naar Antwerpen gereden, en hopende nog iets te kunnen fotograferen in de haven.
Vrij snel stond er een draaiende losse Class66 van Crossrail, en nadat de bestuurder gevraagd werd wat hij doen ging, werd verder gereden naar Waaslandhaven bundel Zuid. Crossrail kon nog een uur duren voor er beweging kwam.
Onderweg naar bundel Zuid, kwam Railtraxx ons tegemoet rijden met een Athus-shuttle, dus werd snel gedraaid en naar de Melselebrug gereden. De trein moest namelijk naar de containerterminal van DP-World, gelegen aan spoorbundel Kalishoek.
Om bij deze terminal te komen, kan je via 2 routes aanrijden. De meest logische route - die dus altijd genomen wordt tenzij werkzaamheden - gaat via de Kallosluis, waar dan afhankelijk van het scheepvaartverkeer via de Melselebrug of Farnesebrug gereden kan worden.
Gezien de Farnesebrug omhoog stond, was de keuze makkelijk, en werd bij de Melselebrug post gevat, en al vrij snel kwam Railtraxx aanrijden met de volbeladen Athus-shuttle naar bundel Kalishoek.
Nur wenige Minuten bevor die Schatten Überhand nehmen, fährt die "DE 21", eine der drei Vossloh DE12 der BASF, mit dem gut ausgelasteten „Germersheim-Shuttle“ am Abend des 13. Mai 2025 in den Hafen ein. Um das Containerterminal direkt mit elektrischer Streckenlok bedienen zu können, wurde die Germersheimer Hafenbahn vor einigen Jahren sogar elektrifiziert.
5 Oktober 2013 - Even diep naar het archief toe, toen de Belgische vereniging TSP een fotorit organiseerde. De rit ging dwars door de Antwerpse havens op de Linkeroever, ook wel bekend als de Waaslandhaven.
Één van de fotostops was bij de containerterminal van DP-World aan kaai 1700, alwaar een leuke bocht is en je daardoor zicht krijgt op de achterliggende terminal en containerkranen.
4 Juli 2020 - De ochtend begon zoals eerder al gezegd, niet in Terneuzen maar in de Antwerpse haven.
Doel was om hier Railtraxx met Athús-shuttle vast te leggen van- en naar de terminals.
Nadat 's ochtends eerst Railtraxx vanuit de MPET-terminal Deurganckdok, ook wel de MSC-terminal genaamd en gelegen aan spoorbundel Krommenhoek was vertrokken naar Antwerpen Schijnpoort, kwamen de 2 diesels met een andere fraaie set wagens terug de havens in. Tussen Schijnpoort en Athus rijdt Railtraxx met dubbel 186'ers vanwege de zware klimmen en zware trein.
De wagens zijn niet van Railtraxx, maar van TCA. TCA is de afkorting van Terminal Container Athus wat de bestemming/herkomst van de treinen is.
In de Antwerpse havens doen de Athus-treinen diverse terminals aan in diverse lopen. Elke loop doet normalerwijs maar één terminal aan. Voolgens mij worden er 5 terminals bediend.
Op zaterdagmiddag rijdt Railtraxx met de Athus containertrein, die eerder in de ochtend in Schijnpoort gearriveerd was, naar de terminal Antwerp Gateway van uitbater DP-World, alwaar de containers overgeladen zullen worden op schepen naar verre oorden.
Om op deze terminal te komen, moet de Kallosluis worden gepasseerd die een verbinding bied tussen rivier de Schelde en het Waaslandkanaal, en waar de keuze is uit twee bruggen, afhankelijk van welke brug geopend is voor scheepvaart.
Railtraxx passeert hier de Melselebrug, gelegen aan de zijde Waaslandkanaal.
Het Waaslandkanaal loopt dood in de Waaslandhaven, dus enkel "bestemmingsverkeer" zal hier de sluizen kruisen van- en naar het kanaal, waardoor dit maar een kleine sluis is.

The Oosterdam, exiting the Port of Callao, Peru is on the way to the Port of Manta, Ecuador.
On the prt exit the Oosterdam passed the Kota Carum being loaded with containers. The 2011 built ship sails under the flag of Singapore.
Quite the landmark, visible for miles around. On a still night we can hear the clangings and bangings from our house. I quite like them however, (the engineering that is, not the occasional soundtrack).....
The skyline at Port Saint John changed with the arrival of
two post panamax sized gantry cranes for use at the
container terminal in January 2021.

As the ms Zaandam leaves its Canada Place birth the Centerm container dock comes into full view. Port Metro Vancouver is Canada’s largest and most diversified port.
CENTERM:
Centerm, located on the south shore of Burrard Inlet, is a container facility that handles cargo for some of the world's largest shipping lines.
Port Metro Vancouver offers four common-user container terminals with extensive on-dock rail facilities and features the only quad lift cranes in North and South America. Container cargo accounts for approximately 20 per cent of Port Metro Vancouver's annual throughput.
Centerm is managed by DP World.

The Montreal Biosphere, Environment Museum, is developing an outdoor exhibition about Canadian oceans and we would be interested in displaying your photograph of Centerm Terminal within this event:

Approximately 50 striking images will highlight many aspects of our oceans, such as biodiversity, history, landscapes and environmental health. The photographs will be printed on a 6-by-4-foot format (on a laminated vinyl) and the general public will have free access to the exhibition.
If you are interested, we would like to know what would be the best available resolution for the image, and the fee for a license to enlarge, print and display the work for a period of 5 years, including the right to use a small copy in a visual presentation within the museum (Powerpoint).
