These are DELICIOUS.
Pop them in the microwave for a few seconds and have them warm.....so yummy.
I sandwiched these with fresh cream.

For the muffins:
12 oz. (24 Tbs.) unsalted butter, warmed to room temperature
1-3/4 cups sugar
4 large eggs
1 lb. 11 oz. (6 cups) all-purpose flour (I used cake flour)
1 Tbs. plus 2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1-3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
1-2/3 cups milk
1/4 cup buttermilk
For dipping:
8 oz. (16 Tbs.) unsalted butter; more as needed
2 cups sugar (I used castor sugar)
2 Tbs. ground cinnamon
To make the muffins
Put a rack in the middle of the oven and heat the oven to 350°F. In a stand mixer or a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until just mixed in. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg. Combine the milk and buttermilk. With a wooden spoon, mix a quarter of the dry ingredients into the butter mixture. Then mix in a third of the milk mixture. Continue mixing in the remaining dry and wet ingredients alternately, ending with the dry. Mix until well combined and smooth, but don't overmix. Grease and flour a standard-size muffin tin. Scoop enough batter into each tin so that the top of the batter is even with the rim of the cup, about 1/2 cup. (A #16 ice-cream scoop gives you the perfect amount.) Bake the muffins until firm to the touch, 30 to 35 min.
To finish
Melt the butter for the dipping mixture. Combine the sugar and cinnamon. When the muffins are just cool enough to handle, remove them from the tin, dip them into or brush them all over with the melted butter, and then roll them in the cinnamon sugar.

According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary (www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/doughnut), a doughnut is a small usually ring-shaped piece of sweet fried dough (it can be also baked as well.) I took a photo of these doughnuts after receiving them from a family friend.

That's literally what this 2000 calorie monstrosity is; two beef burgers with doughnuts as buns.
I didn't think it worked at the time, but god do I want another one RIGHT NOW.
Top Pot Doughnuts and Coffee remains open in the Belltown community of Seattle during Coronavirus lockdown.
When the Obamas were in the White House, they used to have these doughnuts delivered to the White House for guests of the state, foreign diplomats, and of course for themselves.

All is not as it may seem in this shot.
This, again, is for the Flickr 21st Birthday challenge whose theme is "Donuts". We, in the UK firstly spell it correctly ;-) and secondly don't basically live off them. We neither have any doughnuts in the house, nor do we have anywhere within at least 25 miles that sells them. So Debbie made a felt one for me!
I think it's remarkably life like, and if you are going to have a doughnut or two you really need some coffee to wash it down (the coffee is real).
For those of you who are puzzled, yes, I have changed the picture, this is a much better shot of the doughnut than the original shot taken yesterday
The execution of that one was quite interesting to achieve. To summarize it, my wife had to do a fast 180 degrees rotation (so that the dress would lift up), while holding the coffee and the doughnut, and ending the gesture at the right place. This was done in a corridor where I was able to stand from above, and the walls were quite near on the sides: positioning needed to be precise.
Some fun facts: the coffee cup was glued to avoid it flying away (but the coffee is real), and we built a structure under the dress to help it lift up. The doughnut is real too... well, it was ;-)

Saturn peaches are a variety of peach with white flesh and a flattish, round shape
They are known by many other names, including doughnut peach, paraguayo peach, pan tao peach, saucer peach, belly-up peach, UFO peach, flat peach, hat peach, or custard peach.
They were introduced into the United States from China in 1869.
These "flat" peaches gained popularity in the 1990s.

Came across these square doughnuts. Even the holes are square! Down in the PATH — Toronto’s underground city. Pretty damn good. Fresh dough, oozy apple jam, just enough sugar for crunch, but needed more cinnamon on top.
