This was taken at the Houston Zoo. The buys (not sure of the "guys part") were together and slightly on top of each other (I told my 9 year old it was for warmth) but that was questionable but could be true.
They watch so steadily and are very observant. These two were slow to move but were very sure of each step or slither they made while I pressed against the glass to get this shot

Dad gave me this delightful double bit ax when I visited Oregon last. I have decided to clean it up as a restoration. It was pretty rusty and the label was hard to read - seeing mostly an "S". First thought (hoped) it was a Collins, then a Stanley, but turns out it is a Vaughan Sub-Zero pat 1948 double bit ax!
Restoration so far consists of soaking in vinegar for a day, sanding with 100 grit paper - and back to the vinegar. One of the edges seems to be out of balance - a lot of filing ahead!. I have been looking at a lot of YouTube videos and other "how to restore" blogs - think I have found a pretty comfy niche!

The Double Cluster (also known as Caldwell 14) is the common name for the naked-eye open clusters NGC 869 and NGC 884 (often designated h Persei and χ Persei, respectively),[1] which are close together in the constellation Perseus. NGC 869 and NGC 884 both lie at a distance of 7500 light years.[2] NGC 869 has a mass of 3700 solar masses and NGC 884 weighs in at 2800 solar masses; however, later research has shown both clusters are surrounded with a very extensive halo of stars, with a total mass for the complex of at least 20,000 solar masses.[3] Based on their individual stars, the clusters are relatively young, both 12.8 million years old.[4] In comparison, the Pleiades have an estimated age ranging from 75 million years to 150 million years. There are more than 300 blue-white super-giant stars in each of the clusters. The clusters are also blueshifted, with NGC 869 approaching Earth at a speed of 39 km/s (24 mi/s) and NGC 884 approaching at a similar speed of 38 km/s (24 mi/s).[5] Their hottest main sequence stars are of spectral type B0.

accidental double exposure, mixing up two running VWs with a few others that are and some that ain't.
While hiking through the Texas Hill Country we came upon this very old homestead complete with a collapsing home, chicken pens and this old double seater out house. There was a fox inside with three pups under the seat. While I wanted to take their picture, I couldn't get close enough without spooking mama from her little ones.
Oops. I stuck a filter on this pack incorrectly and accidentally ended up double exposing this shot.
