Double door locks seen on a van. Never seen before. Seems to work efficiently, very clever. Next step is to mount window bars...

It's not quite what it looks like. Yes there were teeth growls and yelps but these guys were playing hard. Despite the fact that the chocolate lab got double teamed from the onset everyone played nice.
I use Picasa to put two scans together to show the double spread. Really would like to practice less is more painting with sketches, but find myself still very fearful of relying only on paint shades and tones to tell the story. I'll keep trying.
Here is our attempt capturing Alpha- Centauri A and B using our ZWO ASI120mc-s planetary camera, you can see the separation it is rather small as the stars are oversized due to glare the separation is equal to that of the sun to pluto.
The hummingbirds have taken a fancy to our double delight rose bushes. The Roufus, Black Chinned and Calliope Hummingbirds have left for the season and soon the broadtails will be leaving too....the garden always seems so quiet after they leave. :-(
I was photographing the bird in the foreground when his buddy, who'd been gliding around the pond, joined him up on the rock. Cormorants aren't waterproof, so he immediately flapped his wings to dry off. I love all the water droplets in this photo. And those wings are magnificent!

Spanish transit is marked by a high degree of integration between its long distance railway system and inner-city metro systems, although the historic use of broad gauge has limited integration with its neighbors. Spain is currently working to increase and improve linkage with the rail systems of France and Portugal, including high-speed rail between Madrid and Lisbon.

I've been kicking around the idea of having Kamal do double duty as Tohr in the Brotherhood world............mostly due to the fact that I'm running out of space for a lot more big guys, and Iple doesn't seem to want to do another head sale. I got "Tohr's" wig in today and thought I'd play a bit and see what I think.

Toy Sunday Theme: Jeopardy
This sort of happened at our house -- only with pheasants and no guns. One morning I awoke to a male pheasant squawking incessantly. When I looked out the window, I could see why. Two foxes were about to ambush his lady partner. They were still circling her when I ran outside -- but it was still two late. One grabbed her, while the other held the male pheasant at bay. The two then ran off at lightening speed, before I could do anything to stop them.
A quick little MOC that I thought turned out quite well. It's admittedly not a perfect model of DNA, but I was able to make the entire helix (minus the base) out of parts available on the brick wall at my local LEGO Store, so I'll call that a win.
I was puzzling over how to make these parts into a double helix for a few weeks, then the idea came to me late one night and worked perfectly.

Another of our small get together- some great turkish food and some decent photos afterwards- we were all dressed in traditional clothes(Kurta/Payjama).
The last leg of our crazy get-togethers,clock is ticking, one more left only.
