Too many birds on the log and this one got chased off. It may have been because he was waving his wings around and crowding the other birds.
I just adore looking for these cute caladenia pachychila's, today was a good day found 146+ of them and my very first double header. Even more precious they are normally found 200km from where I found them. I love the different colouring on them as well. North of Wanneroo Perth WA (PS I hunted for 6.5 hours today!)
Side by side trees stand in silhouette on the shore of Lake Bemidji during a lovely sunrise.
Taken in Bemidji, MN on 6 November 2010. Recommended in Lightbox.

Given my other recent outing with friends to shoot bird photos, these guys, from a previous day, were flying at a speed that I could actually handle. ;)
Double exposure with Emilie, with one shot slightly out of focus. I've posted a similar shot, but this one is a bit different.

Los Angeles County Museum of Art parking garage
Taken on 11/24/2005. A few days before the parking garage was destroyed. I had been to this garage many times, but I decided to go and get photos one more time before it was gone for good.
Dug this one out of deep in my flickr account. Being as I have been using flickr since 2005... there is a lot of hidden treasures buried.
Dark body with orange bare skin at the base of the bill. Breeding adults are all black. Immatures and nonbreeders have paler breast. Dives underwater to catch fish. Swims like a duck in between dives. Finds open perches to spread wings and dry feathers. Can be in large flocks or solo. Most widespread cormorant across U.S. and Canada; also most likely to be seen inland.
The shot Will has been waiting for....LOL! ;-) Both red and blue MMCs at Redruth chance snap really as the traffic played ball. Still had enough time to take this and walk down to catch the U2.

Double bill? Geddit? Parliament see... and bills... and double exposure... erm...
Rather pleased with my lining up on this one.
Double-deckers on route 246 between Bromley and Westerham certainly aren't scheduled, but probably aren't that unusual. Thankfully TfL pay for this service, even though Westerham is in Kent. The statue is of General Wolfe - and the bus will turn round in the car park at Wolfe's birthplace, Quebec House, just down the road.
