This gorgeous red dahlia is still in full bloom even on the last day of Summer at Longwood Gardens (In Explore)
Nice traditional Newfoundland biscuit box house in Trinity East, Newfoundland. A larger example of this style of home, this example boasts a double set of full length bay windows and a side porch, two features not seen on all examples of this style. The double bay windows really add to the look of this house.

Not very often in my research of the Lakeshore Div have I seen shots of lone double headed AS-16ms. Such is the case here as numbers 1495 and 1493 work a cut of cars near the yard office in Wausau, WI. It even looks like they might be on the track leading to the makeshift piggyback ramp. Way back in the Devil's Garden area of Arches National Park is the beautiful Double O Arch. This photo is looking north, after you pass through the bottom arch and climb up a small hill to look back towards the trail.
The arches are incredible. At one time this park was a mound of salt beds, which were replaced in some places with sandstone. Water eroded the salt beds, and water and wind eroded the sandstone where with just the right amount of hardness and pressure these arches remain. Since 1970, 43 arches have collapsed due to erosion with somewhere over 2000 still remaining.

Macro Mondays - Double Exposure
My Nikon Coolpix L830 doesn't have a double/multiple exposure mode that I could find. So I used the app called "Fused", and created this from two photos of the same insect moving around the flowers.
This poor deer has two fawns, and despite having her hooves full, was kind enough to pose for a family portrait, which is kind of special, as this is day 100 of Project 365 (Saturday). I never thought I'd keep this going for this long, but somehow...

From the south entrance, looking north. Helicopter included. It circled many times, checking out the site.
Spreading its wings in the November sun, this cormorant is enjoying the day's warmth. This is at Cottonwood Lake inside Hellyer Park in San Jose, CA.
Here's a good website about these birds:
Today at We're Here we celebrate the idea of learning one or more foreign languages. As my first language is Dutch, I thought it a neat idea to learn Double Dutch.
Double Dutch meaning incomprehensable, nonsense or jibberish. Double Dutch also is a game of jump rope with two ropes.

So I couldn't decide on this scene. Vertical or horizontal. So I shot two sheets each way. The PROBLEM was, didn't change film holders. Classic double exposure.
The film really moved around in the holder between shots. I have to be more careful to rap it on the top of the camera back before I insert it.
