I was happy to see Risa Puno's Course of Emotions come back for a second year at Summer Streets. It is sponsored by the Department of Transportation. It really is a well thought piece of conceptual art that is disguised as mini-golf. Taken at the 2014 Summer Streets in NYC. Sadly, it was dismantled by the artist for the last time and the pieces carted off to be recycled or junked as its previous storage space was no longer available.

This is a smaller version of the Folding fan. The normal adult size 21cm but this mini fan is 16cm, so this is a perfect size for the kids!
Normally Japanese folding fan made of paper (or some fabric) on a bamboo frame. It often has a decorative picture or calligraphic character on it.
We were using a fan in everyday life, for dances, for games, for ceremonies, for gifts, of course for the hot day!
Polka Dots for the March HMQG swap. Top to bottom: Michael Miller Ta Dot, Riley Blake Wanna Be A Cowboy ( pink & beige)
"Sock Hop" night at Fat Fannies involved neither poodle skirts nor greased hair....it was "just socks" as DJ Dave so eloquently put it. There we so many worthy socks in the crowd, it was one of the toughest votes I've had in a long time! Dot showed up looking all gangsta and flashing gang signs. I absolutely loved the rolled up leg that showed off her tube socks!

Dots... just for fun. Made from magazine cuttings and doodled on just for good measure! © Dawn Clarkson
This outfit was an adventure. The babydoll top is so cute and fun. The pink fabric has green polka dots. The pink gingham ribbon ties around the neck and has a heart button sewn at the base. The bodice is shirred all the way around. The top is finished with a big green ruffle with a pink rolled hem. The gorgeous euro pants are stripped together with three different fabrics: polka dot, pink gingham, and green. There is a pocket on the left leg. I love euro! And these pants are so cool that I couldn't get my baby out of them!
Besides the black and white polka dots we've made caps with in the past, this is the range of colors we can do with that pattern.
Dot the Crockpot is in action today - boneless spareribs for dinner! Nothing like slow cooking on a cold, snowy day!
Its not everyday that people get out of Oklahoma for a trip to Portland Maine. We traveled together from Oklahoma City to Portland Maine, We saw a lot of stuff along the way, some good, some bad, some we did not know what it was. Andy likes to sleep a lot on planes, buses and meetings, John does not like to sit next to Andy on planes. (upgraded his seat and all only to find out it was next to Andy's!) Virgil likes to see the world through his eyes and see things people don't see everyday. Like say you get on the train at the airport, and you see all the bars in there, I guess that means you need to hang on, Oh Yes, you do, about fell on my ass.....Portland has some good seafood, Lobsters being one of them. In Old Port, there are boats, birds, bikes, buildings, ocean, weird smells, people everywhere, beer and more seafood. We even saw these people(women and one dude) painting their pets and drinking wine. Well they were painting pictures of their pets. The Doubletree Hotel was nice, good food and rooms. We went to Sunday River Ski Resort (No Snow)and saw some Turkeys on the slopes, people Zip lining and hanging around. Be careful in the woods playing Frisbee or you could fall into the bushes. Bus rides are fun. Memories are always going to be there. The PUG Conference was great Maine did a good job, next year we head to Grand Rapids, Michigan....heard it has some beer or something there.
