During a recent visit to a Goodwill store, I got a little restless while the clerk was wrapping up my half-dozen Pyrex finds, and so started browsing the nearest rack which happened to be kids clothes. In the midst of all the newer sparkly, spandexy, sassy duds were three little toddler-size dresses that looked awfully out of place. Couldn't stand to leave them behind! This is one of them. A total of five layers, including crinoline. A co-worker suggested they are all from the late 1950's to early 1960's. I wish I'd have had stuff like this when I was little. Digital photo.

The reverse of this photo has a pen and ink inscription, "To Nanny, Ma Goff, with all my love, Dot - one of the fools."

This young woman must have been having second thoughts about life in uniform. Her hairstyle and battledress blouse would indicate WW2 era. Possibly she was in the ATS.

This is a 'concept bike ' dreamt up by Italian designer Justyn Norek. I know BMCA man Al Ussher is a DOT enthusiast, so I sent him this image, as a bit of a wind-up. Al liked it, but sent the following four photos, of proper [ ? ] DOTs, in return...

Another "plain" dot, but again it's a little more than just a dot. This one is part of the ThinkPad logo and (I assume) is a reference to the TrackPoint pointing stick on the notebook keyboard.

dear partner,

i really really hope you like this, cause i'm totally in love with how it turned out. it took much longer than i thought it would (the story of my life!), but i think it's pretty awesome, and kinda want to make myself one now. but first, i'm finishing up the rest of your package - i hope you think it's worth the wait!

Still it's amazing how many topics a coffee cup can cover in this challenge.
