For storing your bracelet booty!
Whose bracelet's in a pineapple floating on top of the sea ...? SusanSquarepants! LOL
I really wanted to make a "gentleman's" jewelry box, and doing the rebuild, I love the green helm (from Fabuland) and really wanted to feature it. Its clever use in 41906 is how all 4 fronds are attached for the top of the pineapple.
Having this open from the side instead of top wasn't hard. The Lid actually slides into place without studs; stays fine nudged between the plates. Cool yellow, baby!
I had fun making the ship and the fish out of tiles (dots) and could probably re-do both many times over ...
That's after I *spin* the Helm's wheel a few more times :-)

DOT partnered with the DOT Public Space Unit and the Prospect Heights Neighborhood Development Council (PHNDC) to present an asphalt mural on Vanderbilt Avenue between Dean Street and Bergen Street in Brooklyn as part of the Vanderbilt Avenue Open Boulevard. Titled, “Carpet Collage,” by Cara Lynch, the mural transformed the street into a welcoming living room-like space for pedestrians to gather and enjoy during the Vanderbilt Avenue Open Boulevard hours. As New York City reopened following City Hall protocols to protect New Yorkers against COVID-19, the Open Boulevards effort created extra space for dining with added landscaping and presented cultural activities, community-based programming, and temporary art installations to bolster the City’s recovery efforts. As part of Open Boulevards, DOT Art partnered with the DOT Public Space Unit to highlight and enhance these infrastructure changes as well as increase pedestrian and cyclist activity through installation of enlivening temporary artwork installations. Increasing the amount of pedestrian space was critical to the City’s recovery from COVID-19 as the public engaged in outdoor recreation, dining and other activities to avoid indoor interaction and maintain social distance.

I picked this up at a yard sale for $5, but then I had to leave it when I moved to CT.
The dress was a 1940s sheer white with red velvet micro dots, tiered skirt, and puffy cap sleeves..

Dot is the runt of her litter and being handraised. She is a jack Russell Terrier and is one week old today. She is affectionately known as 'Foetus' untill she starts looking a bit more like a dog ! But her proper name is Dot.

The Eames' designed the Dot Pattern when the Museum of Modern Art invited various graphic and textile designers to participate in "The Competition for Printed Fabrics" in 1947, and though they did not submit the design to the competition, the pattern was featured in a 1950 issue of Portfolio magazine.

There were hundreds of these resting on the Maple River trails. There were many large dark skimmers cruising along and I'm pretty sure they were Black Saddlebags but it was very windy and they never landed so they may have been widow skimmers.
Crows and dots are essentially identical in shape. Dots are little gumdrops that look like regular sized (T-1 3/4) LEDs, if you stand them up on two toothpicks. Crows are identical in shape and size-- and look like infrared LEDs or phototransistors.
