Latest from the garden trap
Last night I trapped once again and under clear skies after a really mild day at 15 degrees come the afternoon, despite the clear sky I was hopeful.
Before going to bed I checked around the trap and found one each of Small Quaker, Common Quaker and Clouded Drab, the latter new for year.
By the morning a further 6 moths were observed and a second Clouded Drab was found as well as a really plain looking Dotted Border and in major contrast a stunningly striking red-tinged Hebrew Character.
Also Agonopterix heracliana made it the 18th species of the year so far.

Little Dot (remember her?) all growed up. Another mostly successful photo session.
A two-piece outfit that I actually wear together. The polka-dotblouse and skirt are both from Wal-Mart's George line, bought in January 2010; the shoes are Madden Girl "Karlla" polka-dot pumps, from DSW in June 2011. Accessories are polka-dot bow, red jewelry, red belt, and natural hose.

For storing your bracelet booty!
Whose bracelet's in a pineapple floating on top of the sea ...? SusanSquarepants! LOL
I really wanted to make a "gentleman's" jewelry box, and doing the rebuild, I love the green helm (from Fabuland) and really wanted to feature it. Its clever use in 41906 is how all 4 fronds are attached for the top of the pineapple.
Having this open from the side instead of top wasn't hard. The Lid actually slides into place without studs; stays fine nudged between the plates. Cool yellow, baby!
I had fun making the ship and the fish out of tiles (dots) and could probably re-do both many times over ...
That's after I *spin* the Helm's wheel a few more times :-)

Sunflower and Chamomile dots...One of two companion prints that I created to go with "Peace"... other companion is Chamomile dots
Designed for the Spoonflower challenge theme of Neutral Botanicals (specifically designed to showcase their new Grasscloth Wallpaper). I've only been able to hold space in my head for 2 things this week, the wellbeing of 3 beloved family members (🙏🙏🙏) and the situation in the Ukraine🙏. So, my design this week is an homage to peace. Entitled "Peace", this neutral pattern has a field of chamomile flowers as a background, and the main design is a twine peace symbol with sunflowers. The chamomile flower is the national flower of Russia, the sunflowers are the national flower of Ukraine. This pattern is my plea for Russia to end it's brutal attack on Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.
Ive added a navigation through the animation to try and tie the narrative together. The dots get bigger when the transportation gets closer.

Finally decided to create an online portfolio of my favorite work I've done recently. Mostly web designs i've done while here at TKG, but I'll be adding more older projects as well!
Just felt the need to get something quick up right away, so the design will probably change quite a bit in a few weeks.
Dot is the runt of her litter and being handraised. She is a jack Russell Terrier and is one week old today. She is affectionately known as 'Foetus' untill she starts looking a bit more like a dog ! But her proper name is Dot.

The Eames' designed the Dot Pattern when the Museum of Modern Art invited various graphic and textile designers to participate in "The Competition for Printed Fabrics" in 1947, and though they did not submit the design to the competition, the pattern was featured in a 1950 issue of Portfolio magazine.

Crows and dots are essentially identical in shape. Dots are little gumdrops that look like regular sized (T-1 3/4) LEDs, if you stand them up on two toothpicks. Crows are identical in shape and size-- and look like infrared LEDs or phototransistors.

This is an adorable circle skirt with a built-in tulle petticoat. The outer skirt is rayon and measures 15 inches long. It is dark brown with white polka dots. The petticoat is made of two layers of black nylon tulle and peaks out about 1.5 inches from the hem. The skirt has an elastic waistband. The fullness of the circle skirt gives it a very feminine silhouette.
