Went out today specifically to photograph Muntjac, and after a good few hours patient waiting managed to bag a male and a female, so I was quite chuffed getting these today. :-).......And this Doe is probably the most beautiful looking face of any other Muntjac I have seen....no Avon needed on this occasion :-)
This brazen doe paid me almost no mind after I’d taken the first shots from my kitchen window and then went outside. She moved away from the feeder, but slowly, and paused at the edge of my garden to stare for a few minutes before casually walking away.
I don't know what's causing the problem with her coat.

66599 heads north along the Erewash Valley at Doe Hill running around an hour early with 6E88 0945 Mountsorrel to Tyne Yard on 27th April 2016.
Doe Castle, or Caisleán na dTuath, at Sheephaven Bay near Creeslough, County Donegal, was historically a stronghold of Clan Suibhne, with architectural parallels to the Scottish tower house. Built in the 16th century, it is one of the better preserved fortalices in the north-west of Ireland. It was here that Owen Roe O'Neill returned in 1642 to lead the Irish Confederate Army during the Wars of the three kingdoms.
The castle changed hands repeatedly during the 17th Century struggle for control of Ireland between the English and the Irish. It is known that in 1650, Sir Charles Coote, the Governor of Londonderry, took possession of the castle.
Eventually, the castle was bought by Sir George Vaughan Hart and inhabited by his family until 1843.
The castle sits on a small peninsula, surrounded on three sides by water, with a moat cut into the rock of the landward side. The structure consists mainly of high outer walls around an interior bawn with a four-storey tower-house/keep.

More deer from Bradgate Park, I just liked the three together. These are all fallow deer which are not native but I love them, for me they're a very welcome addition to our fauna ( whether in deer parks or our countryside ). Obviously the ones in deer parks are easier to photograph but apart from the ( very ) occasional muntjac we don't have proper wild deer in Leicestershire, although I really wish we did. That's not to say it's easy to capture interesting behaviour or to get them in great light, or capture something more unusual, they roam over a couple of square miles.

This beautiful doe has been coming around to the backyard every afternoon, I suspect she is hungry because she has fawns to feed, I had gone out earlier with food so she had quite a feast, and after she left I went out and I heard her talking to her fawns. They must have been hiding right out back in the woods! I would love to see them!
The poor thing has a tick right below her eye.
After approximately 10 minutes this doe discovered me, and she started to wonder into an other direction. She checked me out a few times, but didn't run off. I truly love my new camo net;)
Late summer has been great time for seeing many pretty Whitetail Does.
