Goshka Macuga zeigte im Fridericianum einen fünf mal 17 Meter großen gewebten Wandteppich zur dOCUMENTA 2012. Afghanische Kulturschaffende wurden für die Vorlage zusammengerufen. Im Hintergrund die Ruinen des Darul-Aman-Palastes bei Kabul.

Dieses Foto verbindet die Personen, die der Wandteppich darstellt und die Betrachter des Kunstwerks in einer b&w Aufnahme.

Last week I visited the documenta(13) for 2 days and I enjoyed being there a lot - it was 2 days of wandering and strolling through a huge green park with art projects everywhere, museums and diefferent locations filled with art, many people and great sunny days full of inspiration.

Tacita Dean wollte eigentlich einen Film zeigen, den sie Afghanistan drehen ließ. Das Material war beschädigt und unbrauchbar. Sie nahm daraus Bilder und fertigte direkt auf die Wand des ehem. Finanzamts in der Spohrstraße Kreidezeichnungen an von intensiver Schönheit und unglaublicher Genauigkeit, wohl wissend, dass sie nur 100 Tage Bestand haben werden.
