This was the first dock dogs competition I had the honour of seeing...had fun taking photos.

Challenged with getting these dogs in focus...especially since my camera has a VERY slow focus time. Found my best results with manual focus, and pre 'guessing' how far away I thought the dogs might be...lol.

I call this picture "Docks and Ducks" but its wrong on both counts. There's only one dock and those are Canada geese flying. But "Dock and Geese" doesn't sound as good plus "Docks and Ducks" sounds like a cool lakeside bar name... I need a drink.

December 2003. Fish Dock Road.

Found a fishermans cafe open at 6am. It was bloody freezing and finding this was akin to finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. We had a full monty with all the fisherman and sat on old wooden benches in a really old cafe in this street which is in the docks.
