My new employ takes me, on occasion, to EMR's metal recycling facility on Liverpool docks. It's taken me half a dozen tries, but I've finally managed to catch a train in there, this is 66742 stabled right by Regents Road crossing. It's train of Drax liveried hoppers was split into several portions, and the whole lot was all still there on my later in the day second run visit, it's only a guess but the consist probably arrived overnight on 4M90 from Drax. Problems perhaps?
Regents Road crossing is right next to Liverpool Bulk Terminal which of course fed Fiddlers Ferry Power Station's coal hungry furnaces until 2014, and is in an area not open to the public. How I wish I'd had access 3 years ago when this would have been a Tug on 23 HTA's.

TransPennine Express have lost their franchise - and are now running all the trains previously cancelled due to "a problem with the train crew"! One which seldom ran in the past was any direct service between Glasgow and Liverpool - but today TPE 397007 is on her way north over Docker Viaduct with the 08.12 Liverpool - Glasgow Central.

With a fresh dusting of early spring snow covering the Howgate Fells, 68021 is seen passing Docker on 23.03.17, while working the 6K05 11.03 Carlisle Yard - Crewe engineers trip working. Having a missed a class 68 on this train in similar conditions last year thanks to it running very early, it was pleasing to finally get the shot this time around. Just a pity that normal service was soon resumed with 37025 on the S&C test train later in the day!

Cracking game between two very good teams. It was feisty but as usual at the final whistle was hugs and handshakes.

Mud dauber (or "mud wasp") is a name commonly applied to a number of wasps from either the family Sphecidae or Crabronidae that build their nests from mud. Mud daubers belong to different families and are variable in appearance. Most resemble long, slender wasps about 1-inch (25 mm) in length.

Flickr I find it odd that you show Pontoon Dock station as 'Royal Victoria Dock', but at Royal Victoria Dock itself you show 'Canning Town'.
Having secured the “Tesco” contract from DBS with pairs of its diesel locos, DRS realised it had to do something to restore the “green” credentials of the train. Whilst it’s generally accepted that two diesels would not consume twice as much fuel as one – due to the pairs superior ability to accelerate to line speed – claims that they would use the same amount of fuel as a single engine are usually met with scepticism. However - without any sense of irony - they provided “greener” traction by restoring the very locomotives that they had ousted, the DB Shenker class 92 electrics! Here in autumn sunshine on 12 November 2013, 4S43 - the 06:19 Daventry-Mossend 'Tesco Express' - is swept majestically over Docker viaduct by 92015.
