Running about 50 minutes early here which certainly helped with the light angle, the contrasting pairing of 90021 & 90037 stand out nicely as they forge their way north past Docker with 4Z50, the 08.56 Daventry - Mossend 'liner on Wed 14th December 2022.

Docker Nook Farm, Longsleddale is a listed building located in the English Lake District National Park.
This farm has a special meaning for me in my Ancestry research as my 6th great grandfather Rev. Edmund Atkinson who was curate of St Mary’s Longsledddale went a courting the lovely Margaret Lickbarrow who lived with her parents at Docker Nook. They married 29 Oct 1710 and moved to Ulverston in 1714 where Edmund became curate (or vicar) of St Mary’s Ulverston.
Edmund had 4 wives the first 3 all dying

The area next to the overbridge is popular for southbound workings but there is a decent option looking the other way.

14th March 2016 - You just have to like the Dockers on Seaforth Container terminal telling you were their allegiances are..
I spotted a STP working from Mossend to Warrington Arpley that had been stopped at Kingmoor for over three hours but was on the move again. DB 66009 crosses Docker Garth Viaduct in superb light with a couple of stone hoppers.
I spent a pleasant thirty minutes at this spot on Thursday and photographed four workings including a fully loaded Tesco Express but I thought this five coach Trans Pennine Express Hitachi Bi-Mode fitted into the scene best.

**Today's Railtour had 47712 "Lady Diana Spencer" masquerading as 47709 "The Lord Provost" and 47711 "Greyfriars Bobby" on the either side of the locomotive.**

Not many like this HST's colour scheme me included but I wasn't going to pass it up in this kind of light, 43058+43059 on 5Z50 09.27 Crewe HS - Carlisle, Thursday 20 January 2022.
With the sun weakly showing through the clouds, Ex LNER Gresley designed 'A3' 4-6-2 no.60103 'Flying Scotsman' "fly’s past" over Docker viaduct with the Ian Riley’s Railtours Manchester Victoria to Carlisle "Christmas Dalesman".
At least we had some sun as the journey up from West Yorkshire was through fog and temperatures of -1.5º.
