At the weekend this rake of wagons is stabled in Freightliners yard at Guide Bridge where it has been repeatedly graffitied.

A day I remember very well. Having arrived in good time in clear blue skies to capture 4S43, the Tesco Express from Rugby to Mossend, I learnt that 92017 was a late departure. Running about 60 late, clouds were bubbling and gave moments of great concern as the train approached. Needn't have panicked. 22/7/10

Victoria Tower aka The Dockers Clock at Stanley Dock, Liverpool. Designed by Jesse Hartley from a drawing by Philip Hardwick of Doric Arch and Curzon Street fame. The structure was completed in 1848 and allowed ships to set their timepieces when setting sail with a bell provided to warn of impending meteorological changes, a flat for the Pier Master was also incorporated into the structure. Sadly now derelict although it was added to the Statutory List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest with Grade II status in 1975.

1908 Avonside 0-6-0ST 'Lucy' heads the 'Birkenhead Docker No 4' railtour on MDHB trackage in July 1978, under the watchful eyes of the local constabulary, who are no doubt thinking they've gone completely mad. One of the privately owned diesels which handled what little freight traffic was left is visible behind the Mark 2 Escort (I think!).
