The dock near the main lot of Minto Brown Island gets flooded in winter, sitting in what looks like the middle of the slough.
Shot with a Sony A7 and a G.Zuiko 28mm f/3.5 lens (@ f/8).
A relief/extra PRS with 6006 lifts 49 Minorca stone loads up the ramp towards Collingwood, while DMIR 406 finishes up dumping a pellet train on Dock 6. The 406 once dumped out would tie down so a carman can work on a bad door seal.
The American Spirit has finished loading at CN Duluth Docks and will soon depart with taconite pellets for Zug Island in Michigan all here on the evening of June 25, 2018.
The only creature I actually photographed on the afternoon visit was a bug. I actually saw 3 of them in different areas on the visit.

Canning Dock was opened in 1737 as the Dry Dock, a protected tidal basin providing an entrance to Old Dock. Having been subsequently enclosed as a wet dock three years earlier,[4] in 1832 it was officially named after the Liverpool MP George Canning. To the east is the site of Old Dock, built in 1709, which was the world's first enclosed commercial dock. Canning Dock would have initially served ships involved in the trans Atlantic slave trade.
Stanley Dock is a dock, on the River Mersey, England and part of the Port of Liverpool. It is situated in the Vauxhall area of Liverpool and is part of the northern dock system. The dock is connected to the Leeds and Liverpool Canal to the east and Collingwood Dock to the west.
Designed by Jesse Hartley, it opened in 1848. The original warehouses are of a similar design to those at Albert Dock and are grade II listed buildings. Part of the northern warehouse was demolished after sustaining damage in an air raid during the Second World War. The large Stanley Dock Tobacco Warehouse was built in 1901 on the in-filled south half of the dock and is a grade II listed building.
view light box - We have spent the last couple of days in Gloucester with my brother and I had the opportunity for a 45 minute stroll round the docks. It was an overcast day, but there was some colour about . . .

There was this empty void for what seems like forever.
Finally I was inspired to create "The Docks"to bring this land to life once more.
Apart from the view from this pier - there is a little taste of Christmas in Aussie Land here - sun, surf & fun stuff to do!
