I never cared much about minifigs - aside from them being a source of minifig hands, which are a crucial building component for me whenever I use flex hoses.
Yet when I saw the Collectible DnD Minifig Series, I bought one full set... then another... and then lots and lots of assorted minifigs and parts. This coincided with me playing Baldur's Gate 3, one of the best cRPG games I have ever played, set in DnD franchise.
This caused - for the first time in my AFOL career - minifigs being in the spotlight.
I first made some basic experiments with different parts, then started making stands, then started making poses.
In few cases I cut pieces (but not minifig pieces!) and used tiny bits of modelling clay to attach them to armor.
While I still prefer building large-scale figures, this was a refreshing excercise and unlikely to be the last time I played with minifigs!

More DnD stuff. Preferring the solitude of the ancient woods, this little guy keeps himself entertained with playful antics. Despite his lighthearted nature, he fiercely defends the forest from any brigands who'd threaten its peace.
Using the Dragoon core legs and torso mount, this heavy, short-to-mid-range beast is heavily armored and hits like a space freighter, but is effectively blind without sensory instruments and it moves slowly.
Noticed a few vehicles displaying SJ plates rather than the usual SF ones at the workshops today. Anyone know why the change ?

New to Shearings
David Goode placed this into service after simply painting over the blue part of previous owner Jones International's livery with his maroon, creating this unusual yet pleasing colour combination. It would be sold back to Jones in 2012, becoming MJI 1940, and is now a familiar sight on the rally scene in Wales and the west country.

New to Shearings
In response to a request for more photos of the Goode Coaches operation, here is the second Van Hool Tiger to join the fleet. It was purchased from Jones International of Llandeilo, and is seen here when newly acquired and prior to entering service; in 2012 it would be sold back to Jones.
Practicing rock work and small story scenes. Created in Studio. Will eventually have some of the new DnD figs posed on it.

My brother got hooked on DnD, so he put together a campaign for me, my siblings and our partners. Every single one of us are newbs, but MAN is it awesome!
Barkin, the halfling bard. Playing violin and messing with peoples' minds like no other. Uses a horse mask and the alter ego DJ Horsehead when throwing concerts.

The whole set on a stacked stand. The stand is made out of 7x7 stud boxes stacked into a diamond shape, giving it some nice verticality.
Initially it was meant to be only 4x4, but I quickly realized I have more than 16 ideas. In fact this 5x5 stand is still not enough, but after realizing how much did I spend on minifigs and accessories, I, uh, had to stop.
(For a while).
