... is usually reflected light. Usually, as being the case here, it comes from below, from the world of the living. My alter ego Hermes here is illuminated from below by four LED spotlights. I then processed the raw image in Fuji's raw converter, Luminar, and in macOS High Sierra photo editor. This plaster cast head, a copy of the Olympian Hermes by Praxiteles, has been man-handled by generations of art students before being exposed to my kind of photographic inquiry. It is still illuminating.

Chaitanya made me nostalgic about those moments.

Place, clouds, light, greens, sun and company...everything was so divine here.

BTW heading to a overnight star gazing camping with the same company tonight...!!!

Hands reach for the sky,

The chants fill up the space,

Seeking divinity.

Holi is a Hindu festival that is celebrated across India and in many parts of the world. However, the celebration of Holi in Vrindavan, a town in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, holds a special significance for devotees of Lord Krishna. Vrindavan is considered the birthplace of Lord Krishna, and the town is filled with temples and shrines dedicated to the deity.

During the festival of Holi, Vrindavan comes alive with vibrant colors, music, and dance. Devotees from all over India and from around the world flock to the town to participate in the festivities. The celebrations at the temples in Vrindavan are particularly noteworthy, as they offer a unique experience of Holi that is steeped in tradition and spirituality.

At the temples in Vrindavan, Holi is celebrated in a way that is deeply rooted in the mythology and legends associated with Lord Krishna. The festivities begin with a special prayer and worship ceremony, after which devotees gather in the temple courtyard to play with colors and dance to traditional Holi music. The atmosphere is filled with joy and exuberance, as devotees lose themselves in the celebration of their love for Lord Krishna.

One of the most famous Holi celebrations in Vrindavan is the Lathmar Holi, which takes place in the town of Barsana, a short distance from Vrindavan. In this unique celebration, women playfully beat men with sticks while the men try to protect themselves with shields. The tradition is said to be a reenactment of a playful encounter between Lord Krishna and his beloved Radha.

Overall, Holi in Vrindavan is an unforgettable experience that offers devotees a chance to immerse themselves in the rich mythology and traditions associated with Lord Krishna, while also celebrating the joy and exuberance of the festival of colors.

Plage de Mont-Choisy / Mont-Choisy beach

One of the breathtaking sunrises I have ever witnessed. The heavenly light and the mesmerizing lake mist rising as the sunlight kisses the lake.

Although I would have preferred shooting this with my Canon 6D, I am impressed by the picture quality from my Sony NEX. This was one shot handheld.

..."You are my inpiration and my folly

You are my light across the sea

my million nameless joys

and my day's wage

You are my divinity

my madness

my selfishness

my transfiguration

You are my rapscallionly fellow vagabond

my tempter and star

I want you"...

A truly hidden beauty of art work, so breathtaking; that truly was inspired for the love of God.

The photograph was taken during Holi (the festival of Colors) in March 2017, at Nandgaon, Mathura (India) where group of people were enjoying and murmuring the hym of Lord Krishna and Goddess Radha. The Man playing the Dafli (Tambourine) was so much lost in the musical hym whose mood made me to capture this photograph
